I cut the cord got an Apple TV and never looked back. Netflix, hulu, HBO Now, and Sling TV together costs less than most cable packages. I get the shows that I want, when I want and for less.

Cable is a joke.. Dropped it over a year ago, signed up for my internet through a phone service, fast as lightning. Got Netflix.. Bought an antenna so I could have 10 local stations.. When something I really wanna watch but can't comes on cable, I download it.. When I get tired I sleep, when I get hungry I eat.
Getting rid of cable is the best decision I ever made. I haven't regretted it once. Cable companies are fighting a losing battle, and they know it. That's why they have so much influence with our political powers.

Cable is overpriced. Here we cancelled it a long time ago, but we still got the basic cable as Cox is known for either purposely or accidentally neglecting to turn off the ability to view cable through regular means.
Hulu has pretty much every ongoing TV show. Netflix has a whole ton of older and newer stuff. In this day and age with the streaming services, it's odd that people still pay for cable/satellite tv.

If it wasn't for RAW or Game of Thrones I probably wouldn't have cable either.

Only two things keep me with Cable, Football, and my wife's tv viewing habits. I could get by cutting the cord, but she couldn't. I still don't find streaming options reliable enough for my tastes yet either. I'm in the same boat. I watch sports regularly and my wife's tv shows. I wanted to cut cord but after looking at all the options, it just didn't make sense to me. You still have to pay for internet and have fast connection if you want to stream. I know there are apps on apple tv or other devices that you can watch most shows live\ on demand but you still need a cable or satellite subscription. I know you can download any show out there but it's just not convenient enough for me since i would have to do all the downloading and set it up for my wife and kids.

I don't have cable (pay TV here in Australia), but have both Netflix and the WWE Network on my PS3...I hardly watch free-to-air as it is, so I'm good.

While I do consider myself an early adopter of technology, I still don't think that streaming services are quite where they need to be in order for me to consider cutting the cord. Too many options spread across too many platforms and too many things still missing.
I rarely watch live TV, but I use my DVR as much now as I ever did. I like the convenience, plain and simple.

It is pretty expensive and for what you get I've noticed there is never much on that I would actually want to see..
It is easier to watch stuff online so I do that now most of the times.

All I have is home internet. I use a computer for school and a PS4 for WWE network and Netfix.
I've had cable and satellite. Satellite in the Midwest is some what pointless. Storm seasons and cloud coverage always messes with the receivers. Besides a few TV show, I don't miss cable. I rather free up some funds to buy more wrestling figures!

I just saw this thread. One of the things that annoys me about cable is how much I pay for channels I never watch. I can't remember which website, but they broke down the average price for each channel. ESPN/ESPN2,which I never watch any more costs over $6 a month. While channels I watch regularly, like AMC or USA, only cost about 60 cents each per month.
