i don't really even understand how someone could return from a serious neck injury and do pro wrestling as a living. i injured my back and the idea of having a career of traumatic impacts to my injured spot sounds like a nightmare.

And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31... And we wonder why he was put in the most dangerous match on the card.... And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31... Yeah because the main event would have been so much worse for him than - you know - a freaking ladder match.. Because the Ladder match allows him to do minimal work since there were six other people in the match. It wasn't Bryan being powerbombed through a ladder nor was it him being superplexed off one either. If I remember correctly, he barely done anything in the match. If he was in the main event, we all know he'd be taking several suplexes from Brock.

To be honest, I HOPE he retires sooner rather than later..Even if it's a shame that his WWE carrear only lasted that long and included only one really big payoff moment (WM30), but hey! I'm happy we got to see this moment at all! There are enough guys down there in NXT that can take his spot if he or the Doctors decide to hang up the boots.

It seemed stupid that he came back and kept doing the stupid neck bumps that nobody ever cared to see in the first place. He could/should have adjusted his work, but perhaps he felt he had something to prove to himself that he could still wrestle the way he wanted to. I hope he's okay, and at the very least I hope that he agrees to tone it down on the silly moves. I wondered why the UK tour show reports had him in six-mans and sounded like he was just coming in for the finish.

Daniel Bryan should retire.
If he ever plans on having kids with Brie and wants to walk and play with his kids, he should retire soon.
Daniel Bryan is so over (and always will be over) that he could easily become one of the guys on the panel they have before Raw, or PPVs. And that "Yes" chant of his will make sure that he always has a place in the WWE universe.

This is one of those internet reports I find easy to believe. Last year, my brother and I were having a similar discussion about Daniel Bryan and his health. It seems he is still working the same style and isn't taking precautions on his health. At this rate, I see Bryan being on the receiving end of a major health-related incident. When that happens, it would lead to Bryan being forced to retire from the ring. These performers should be doing their best to protect their health. Without your health in good, standing order, you can't go out and perform.
The day Daniel Bryan retires, it won't come to as a shock for me.

It is a bit weird why he hasn't been on TV, and if its neck/nerve related then he should retire. No point in risking his ability to walk and do regular day to day things just for a few more meaningless matches.

I really hope not, because Bryan is my favourite wrestler, and I would hate to see him retire at such a young age. If he didn't injure his neck, I think he would have definitely had one of the greatest title runs of all time.

Bryan said that he wanted to make Smackdown an A show and i firmly believe that is all we are seeing.
The WWE doesn't take risks unnecessarily anymore.
They know that by mainly featuring Bryan on smackdown they up the anticipation of seeing him and in turn up the excitement and ratings of smackdown, i firmly believe that is what is going on.

Meltzer's a d**k, no doubt about that, but Bryan has not been the same since he's come back.

This is a genuine shame. A genuine guy, and a great talent. Hope he is fine, or puts his family/future/wife ahead of the WWE, his fans wouldn't resent him for leaving. Definitely had many good moments in his short time at the top as a genuine top guy.

I hope he isn't like another Edge with the neck problems.

He should do what HBK did.
Take about 3-4 years off, to just live. Let his body return to 100% and he'll have 8 more years left.

He would've had a couple of PPV matches against Kane, Orton and Wyatt then got squashed by Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Brock could have just eaten Cena because they needed something quick. WWE would have been smarter than to have the Yes Movement squashed by Brock Lesnar.

I think DB may be my favorite wrestler.
I want him to get better and wrestle forever.
This news story has me depressed.
