Hi everyone,
this probably could be classed as a very tedious criticism and I just wonder how many others have noticed this but for some figures, I see glaring mistakes when it comes to their eye colours.
For example, I can only think of one Shawn Michaels figure (Rocker HBK) that has the correct eye colour, ie, blue. Every other release seems to have brown eyes which is wrong!!!! Another example is Big Show, who also gets the brown eye treatment even though he has blue!
I understand this may come across as nitpicking but it really does bug me big time. From the looks of things, the upcoming Barry Windham appears to have brown eyes. How can this be? Barry had the most piercing blue eyes I can remember seeing. I just can't understand how something as simple as eye colour are sometimes executed incorrectly.
Anyone else find this annoying/bizarre?

Yes it's been noticed before. Just look at Cody Rhodes figures. Some are blue some are brown. God knows why.

I never give eye color much thought. I probably don't know any wrestler's eye color.

Yeah they changed Kaitlyn's eye color from one figure to the next, too. Roman is another example, but he started wearing contacts?

I have noticed the same figure have different eye colors before. For example, I have seen two different eye colors used on basic 32 John Cena, Basic 36 Kaitlyn, Elite 25 Sheamus, and Best of 2013 Randy Orton. These running changes lead me to believe that they just make the figures with whatever they have the most of that day. And these are just the ones I have spotted. There are likely many more.
But as far as the wrestler's real eye colors, I largely have no clue. John Cena's are either one of three shades of green or 3 shades of blue based off the toy.

The reason they gave her blue eyes on her newer figure is because she's been wearing colored contacts for years now. And to those saying it's not a big deal. Yes, it is kind of a big deal, it's a big deal to most when they don't get someone's hair color right, or if they forget to put a very small tattoo on someone's hand. It's small things that can make a huge difference.

This is one of my few irks. Mattel, arguably make the best wrestling figures we've ever had but the random ass eye colors REALLY throw some figs off. A guy who has blue eyes just looks plain OFF when u stick him with brown eyes, and vice versa. Mattel, please try to be more mindful with this detail

Yeh I remember noticing this same thing with Jakks. Not so much noticing that the eye colors were wrong (as I don't particularly remember what colors wrestlers eyes are) but I noticed that the eye colors were different between figures of the same superstar. It's careless and lazy not to get the color correct, and obviously it should be consistent accross all that superstar's figures, apart from in the rare instances where someone's eye colors change due to colored contact lenses (e.g. Kane, Perry Saturn).

I can see how that would bother some collectors, and in a perfect world I would like to see figures be 100% accurate. But eye color doesn't matter to me much.

I think you need to find something better to do with your time, if anyone finds this as an issue.

I really dont think eye color matters. Its not fair to try and compare a tiny lil dot of wrong color to someones hair either. Most people know right off the top what color a guys hair is. We're not talking about Flair with brown hair or Bret Hart as a blonde. Im willing to say 90%-95% of people that buy the figures have no clue what color someones eyes are. Ive been a Flair and Sting fan since I can remember (well over 20 years) and I couldnt tell you either eye color.

Weren't they all brown for the first few series because of what filter they were using on the artwork?
