hi i'm looking to make a tyson custom with those . I have never done customs before . so any advice I would be grateful thanks. what I want to know is will the jakks head go on a mattel body or do I have to do some tooling.to make it fit.also   best way to get the head off .also what is the best figure to use. skin colour. body size etc it will be going in a glass cabinet so could be elite /basic as I will be covering the torso up with the top |

the head will fit. i've made many Mattel customs using Jakks heads. it may be a little big, but it will pop on.
there's 2 different methods to pop a head off - either put the top part of the figure in a cup of boiling water fro a few minutes, or use a hairdryer on it for a few minutes. the hotter it gets, the softer the plastic will get, and the easier to pop it off the ball-jointed socket. you should also pop it on the new body while it's still hot too, it will go on a LOT easier!
as far as a body goes...I'd think maybe Ezekiel Jackson? he's probably a little too buff, but would match up pretty well color-wise I think with that head.

Get the new Titus O'Neill figure. Put some black pants on him and the DX shirt. Then the different head and you're good.

  I have one elite dam I don't wanna brake it up will have to wait and hunt down one maybe with out the belt can get it cheap. also I am going to try and cut the pockets off the jacket and use it on the pants as side pockets will use wonder web. you just iron over it so it sticks because I can't sow neat. than put some elastic in the bottom of the pants to pull them in then I will dye them black if they look ok I will use those no harm in trying |

Then the different head and you're good. ya i'm going for o'neil the basic one you said. he as tattoos on is arm so does tyson. first i'm going to try to use those pants. never dyed cloth before. if it doesn't turns out black. will try black ink.will be stiff. maybe. if I hand wash will soften up also the elite just doesn't look good his torso his to big for that top. and his legs just make them pants look tight. they look good on my basic o'neil the dark one |

also i'm going to put my dark basic o'neil on the window ledge. over the summer. see if the sun lightens it up. if so I think that will look spot on
