GFW Wrestling will be having their roster reveal today at 10am Pacific time, featuring Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett and a "very special guest." I'll update the thread once that time comes and the roster is revealed. Roster reveal here: globalforcewrestling.com/reveal/

Do they have a working deal with NJPW or was that only for WrestleKingdom?

Do they have a working deal with NJPW or was that only for WrestleKingdom? I'm not 100% sure. They're still trying to get the Dominion New Japan event broadcasted on US PPV but I'm not sure if New Japan themselves are gonna be doing it or if GFW will be doing so on their behalf.

Network?

I don't think we ever heard of any network picking up Global Force Wrestling. Last we've heard was that Jarrett was shopping around for networks to pick their show, but so far no one has picked their show up. Basically, their "TV taping" is just like what XWF did back in 2001 where they taped shows in Universal Studios, but no network picked them up because most of their top guys were signed with WWF before they could air.

So far the GWF roster is:
Moose (ROH) Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer (Killer Elite Squad) Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson (Bullet Club) Lei'D Tapa Chris Mordetsky PJ Black (Justin Gabriel) Thea Trinidad (Rosita)
and Chael Sonnen as their "expert analyst"
So far, I like their roster, especially the additions of Archer/Smith and Gallows/Anderson. However, this roster (so far) doesn't really have any star power if I may say. I think the closest they have of star power are Jarret and Mordetsky/Masters. I'm not knocking the roster, cause I said earlier, I like most of the roster choice, and I don't think they're not done revealing guys, which I wish they would have revealed more, unless this is all they had that signed at the time. I hope they can find a TV deal, cause so far they have a talented roster that would bring good matches in the shows, but I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes another XWF, where they have no networks that would want them. I'm surprised that AXS TV, which aired New Japan Pro Wrestling this year, haven't picked them up yet. I feel out of any networks out there right now, I think AXS TV is their best shot. Sure they won't get ratings like WWE (as if any promotion would anyways), but they could probably get the ratings TNA is doing now, or possibly higher. Now that they revealed some of their roster, Global Force Wrestling NOW has my attention. This is the first time I cared about any GFW news since they brought Wrestle Kingdom 9 on PPV.

So far the roster is ok, couldn't care less for Rosita but i assume the'll be more AAA and NJPW talent on the GFW shows.

Without a top draw/decent backing unfortunately they won't get very far. I wish them all the best, I'd love for another WCW vs WWE to happen. It would be fascinating to see who is a big enough star to jump ship and completely sway things in someone like GFW's way.

I was expecting more indy names....that is what they need to be after if they want to challenge Vince.
People say you need big names but look at what NXT is doing. They are quickly becoming WWEs biggest competition and from INSIDE the company by utilizing big name indy talent the way they SHOULD be used.
You want this thing to get big and stay big? Sign guys like Cole, Ricochet, O'Reilly, ZSJ, Gulak, etc and not former WWE midcarders....
Gun and Gallows is the best part of this roster so far....and as great as they are that is NOT enough.

I like the roster so far. I think they are waiting on announcing who the poster boy will be for GFW. There deal with AAA and NJPW is going to be a nice touch. I hope that Angelico is on the roster. I can see Brian Cage being one of the guys they are going to build the company around

Eh..i was expecting idk more? Like others have said you need big name talent. Hopefully Jarrett realizes two of the biggest draws when getting a company off the ground, Tag Team and Light-Heavyweight wrestling. Seriously if i was ever to open a top tier wrestling company(I would LOVE too btw) my main focus would be Fantastic tag and light-heavyweight divisions, with a solid main event division. Still looking forward to who else they bring in.

Obviously there will be other names, so I'll withhold judgement for now.

I forgot that they also mentioned Seiya Sanada as part of the roster as well.

I was going to disagree with the light heavyweight division idea you had because I thought that most of the wrestlers on the indies could fit that division and it would give a perspective that it's a division for smaller guys, but I could see GFW using a lot of guys from AAA for a division similar to that. I would love to see tag team wrestling be a major focus. They already have two great tag teams in Doc Gallows/Karl Anderson and Davey Boy Smith Jr/Lance Archer.

So with the exception of Gabriel & Sonnen as an "analyst," the promotion is essentially a leach territory?

So with the exception of Gabriel & Sonnen as an "analyst," the promotion is essentially a leach territory? Considering GFW started out by doing cross promotion with other wrestling companies, I'm not sure why anybody expected anything different?
