According to Pwinsider.com, WWE sources believe that Sami Zayn suffered some sort of rotator cuff injury on Monday’s Raw. One person believed Zayn had a torn rotator cuff, but that has not been confirmed. Zayn was out of action in March and April due to a shoulder issue. On Monday’s Raw, Zayn was playing to the hometown crowd during his entrance, which is where he suffered the injury. Zayn injures his shoulder when he gets on the steps and is motioning to the crowd…

Zayn blows out his shoulder at 2:30 or 2:43.
Zayn is scheduled to face Kevin Owens for the NXT Title on the May 20th NXT special. No word is he will be able to compete in the match at this time.
Well this sucks.

It was 2:43. Sucks for Zayn. I was worried to see how his entrance would play on the main roster, and it's  ing awesome. I'm excited to see him get called up, but I'm also sad to see him leave NXT, being that he's been the face of NXT for a while. Hopefully he can recover before the 20th. |

Looks like it was definitely the spot on the stairs. Hopefully it isn't too serious and he just needs to rest it. He made such a splash on Monday and his rematch with Owens is something I think most of us are really looking forward to watching.
I think Sami is a guy who will be fine no matter what, even if he is injured a few months, but you hate to see anything set him back.

He'll be fine and after that performance with Cena this injury will not get in the way of having a successful career in the WWE.
