Big Show....
Has he done anything memorable as champion? Beating Lesnar was the most credible thing he ever did.

While Andre's "reign" only lasted a few minutes it did a lot to help elevate both Ted DiBiase and eventually Randy Savage. Andre always did what was best for business, and this is a prime example. Andre never needed the belt to get over and it brought tremendous amounts of heat to Ted DiBiase.
Throughout the entire history of the company Stan Stasiak probably had the least note worthy reign as champion.
Iron Sheik was used to launch Hulkamania, something that wouldn't have happened if Hogan had beaten Backland.
Rey Mysterio should never have won the belt if they were just planning on the tournament winner dropping it hours later, but as HUGE Rey Mysterio fan I marked the hell out when he won.
The Miz had a great run with the belt and I didn't see him walking out of Mania as the champion that year. Miz's reign should have been used to build up someone else, but it never happened that way and he was literally treated as the third wheel to Rock/Cena at Mania, which took away from his reign. Same thing happened to CM Punk and his record reign.

I don't even count Rey's win in this conversation. He didn't get any kind of actual run with the title. If you don't leave the building with the title then you weren't really WWE Champion. The Kane deal with Austin and Bryan's original wins are the same kind of situation. Those are plot devices, not actual title transitions. Miz is by far the worst WWE Champion I've seen in my lifetime. He cut ONE good US Title promo and people did the internet thing where we like a guy for five minutes and immediately think he should be champion. We'll call this the Zack Ryder effect. And I'm a Ryder fan but that's how I will parallel the hysteria. Miz was, still is, absolutely garbage in the ring. Yes, I will totally agree he's punchable and capable of getting X-pac heat but he had absolutely no business above the midcard. His WWE Title match with Cena has to be one of the absolute worst main events of all time. It didn't work creatively, it didn't make sense based on his ability, and it's a reflection of how absolutely dreadful the main event scene was at that time. We were dying for young talent elevation at that time too. They could have built up JoMo, Carlito, MVP, put over CM Punk, any number of guys really, and they went with the ing Miz. Just unbelievable.

I happen to have REALLY enjoyed the Miz from the second he split with John Morrison. It was absolutely the right guy getting the bigger push out of the two.
That being said, I'd go Stasiask. His reign is like, the least notable thing ever.

The thing with Stasiak is, he's better remembered these days at Meat's Dad.

The thing with Stasiak is, he's better remembered these days at Meat's Dad. That's very true....sad but true. The Miz IMO had the potential to be a good champ....but Christ almighty he was booked into oblivion and was a plot device in the real feud between Cena & The Rock. Same thing happened in 2002 with Chris Jericho....1st Undisputed champ and he was used as a prop in the HHH vs Steph feud. Vince,HHH & Stephanie should be ashamed of themselves forever more for this booking atrocity. Thankfully it backfired and HHHs reign flopped both at the time of victory and afterward. It is still damn satisfying to see.

In this day and age, there's so much more that anyone, even chould have done with Miz's title win. As punksnotdead said, Carlito would have been a way better bet.

I think Carlito's time had passed in 2010. His mouth had pretty much wrote him out of any & all significant storylines. To this day I am still astonished by the way Vince, Steph and the braintrust dropped the ball with MVP. More petty crap.....the guy could have been top dog EASILY.

Granted, with proper booking, yes a reign by Carlito or MVP would have been better. But Miz was, pun intended, awesome in 2010 and had his title reign not been wasted on that fossil Jerry Lawler, it would have been better. I really enjoyed his work.

Honestly AF I wont ever be buying that one. Its THE go to excuse of the HHH guy,for 2 of HHHs victorious main events being flops. If the feud had been built properly? It could have maintained interest EASILY in the Skydome. But folks turned off because not ONCE was Jericho shown to be even a slight credible threat to HHH....that's why it played in front of silence.

Miz was a good champ, despite everything people say. He had major Heel heat, and worked his Main Event spot well.

Well that's good but he was never World Champion though haha But as for me, Andre The Giant gets my vote. The dude just handed the belt over to Ted DiBiase after winning it.

Maybe it's because I am white and I don't understand bling and ballin' stuff.

To this day, that storyline still confuses me. It was bad booking, plain and simple. 1. Hogan beats Andre. 2. Andre gets a rematch, beats Hogan in one of the worst finishes of all time to win the belt. 3. Immediately gives it to DiBiase. 4. Jack Tunney wags his finger and says "No." 5. Title gets held up, Savage wins it in a clusterf**k of a Tournament. It was stupid, absolutely stupid.
