Elite 12 Kane, I waited for a decent price for two years and while he's still a great figure, he's just another figure in my collection wall. I think it's silly they haven't made a basic version of the same look yet, I know loadsapeople would buy it.

I bought a huge legends collection of "must haves" and "holy grails" but I think they were less special to me because I bought them in bulk than if I had collected them a few at a time or as they came out. Ended up selling that whole collection and starting over with the intention to pace myself and only buy a few per month. Now that I've actually owned most of the figures I absolutely NEEDED, I don't feel that rush to amass them again.

Not Mattel related but my Hasbro and Galoob Full sets of figures, now I don't really care, I paid good money especially for the series 11 Hasbros and the 2 Galoob accessories.

I once cherished my elite 11 Wade Barrett. Then I got the elite 24 figure and the other one got tossed away.

Mine's non-wrestling:
Doctor Who Classics. I stopped collecting them because the sets were all pretty much repaints with bad QC. Most of them are in the loft now.

Elite 11 CM Punk I would say. Then Elite 16 came out and I didn't care about it too much.

One Christmas my Grandpa took me to Walgreens and I found the series 10 Zack Ryder, at the time it was really really rare, and like $100+ on eBay and Amazon, I was so excited to find it, since it was Zack's rarest figure, but now days I don't really care for it, that and his elite.

Honestly... every single wrestling figure IN my collection right now.
Let's be honest, we see the images for the next elite line coming out, we get excited to get 1, or 2, or maybe the entire line! We wait, and wait, and wait... then Ringside Collectibles says "your shipment has been sent out" so you get all excited. And you wait, and wait... and then the box comes in the mail. We open it up.... there they are!! The figures we so badly wanted, craved and were excited for.
Then we go to the Ringside Collectibles website and see what the next line is and we get excited all over again, as those new figures you just got sit in a shelf collecting dust and never really looked at thoroughly again until a new figure comes in and we have to put it on the shelf.
But that is the joy of collecting! Always something new to come out to replace the excitement we had for another figure.

Collecting is such an illogical hobby when you think of it in that context. We waste our money on crap we don't need and don't really even enjoy - it's just the joy of wasting it that keeps us coming back.

I once cherished my sanity, and will power. They're both now prostitutes to my OCD.

I once cherished my collection, now it's in a big bin, I don't know if I should sell them, wrestling and the action figures have been a huge part of my life, and I would surely have regret, any words of adivce?
