I agree about Harper and Rowan, but I think we'll get some nice spots out of Los Matadores, plus I like them. Harper/Rowan should be in instead of Ascension as the 'muscle'. We need as many high flying teams in there as possible. So many pod spots. Agreed. I really like The Ascension, but they've been doing nothing with them that makes it right to put them in the title match. While Rowan and Harper just got back together, they are former contenders and still in a better position than The Ascension. |

This commentary is horrible. It's just so forced and patronising. It feels like they're insulting my intelligence by screaming things as if they're exciting and then instantly being calm again. I'm not sure if it's an American thing though.. I was watching the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight and the American commentator was talking about how Mayweather was dominating basically every round when he clearly wasn't (it was a relatively even fight for the most part). Has anyone else noticed this... that American media seem to think their audience is dumb? (not saying that's the case, just curious). Well the audience is dumb for the most part, and are casual viewers. Need to strike a careful balance of talking to casuals while giving them what they need to learn more. I thought that was an even fight as well. Thanks bro. I don't for one second think that Americans are dumber than any other nationality and I wouldn't ever pretend that's the case.. but I do think your TV is annoying as  - it's like a constant attack on intelligence. They seem to think that if they tell us it's exciting, we'll believe it's exciting or that if they tell us Mayweather is amazing, we'll believe he's amazing... as if we can't use our own brain and draw our own conclusions. I just find it patronising and to be honest, the main reason that I dislike Michael Cole is that he treats the audience like they're incredibly intellectually- disabled but then again, he's probably being told to act like that so it's probably not even his fault. |
