I enjoy the outdoors, but I don't like sleeping in it. Even as a kid I didn't enjoy camping all that much despite doing it a fair amount. I enjoy trails, mountains, fishing, and parks and scenic areas. But at the end of the day I want to go back to a comfortable bed and air conditioning.

Despite living sort of in the country, no. I hate camping, give me a nice hotel any day. Anything other than my home that doesn't have a nice bed and require a swipe card in the elevator and door, I don't want to stay there. I've never recycled and don't intend to. I've got a rubbish hole where everything gets thrown into and eventually burned. Cycling doesn't interest me, infact cyclists irritate the hell out of me. I've been fishing before, it's not something I'd do willingly. I buy it from a fish market where it's already been filleted. As for hunting, that's an easy pass. Never done it before but it'd bore me to tears. When the apocalypse hits, it's people like me that are going to be dead first. This is like... so me.

Kinda, I hate fishing, I like survivalist camping, ill take a lighter, metal grate, a pot, camping knife, fold away saw and ill make my own bench with a roof to sleep on, I'll build a Denver fire pit ( think thats what its called) this way you dont get a load of smoke so its good for cooking using my grate.
I know which berries you can and can't eat, the bark that workes as a tinder etc

I'm conscientious, but only to the point of still finding the people that do their own recycling of septic tank water to be oddballs.
Hiking rules though. I have a tattoo of Mt. Hood in Oregon on my arm and could walk around that place in wonderment for days on end. So in that sense, if we can sacrifice a little bit to keep sights like that preserved, then it is totally worth it.

Yes, I hate the city.
I plan on buying a home and several acres of land in the Ozarks here shortly and basically just get away from society.
people who say hunting and fishing is boring have either been in the wrong spot, or have the attention span of a goldfish.

I recycle and go on a walk almost daily. I'm not all for much else though, especially camping. I hate sleeping anywhere but my bed.

Not really. I would NEVER recycle. I enjoy the modern day conveniences that we have. Such as Lights, indoor plumbing, heat and air conditioning.

I like to go hiking a lot. At least once a month in the warm part of the year I will go camping. I like smelling like wood smoke and sleeping to the deafening quiet outside. Everyone who's gone camping knows what I mean. And we do it low-fi. I build a fire with just wood and kindling and then I cook my meals directly in the fire by using tin-foil pouches that I fill. It is challenging and fun. I just go hiking for miles and rest and read in-between. The remoteness of the places I pick force me off my phone. I love it.

Used to do scouts and plan on doing it again. My whole last 2 summers have consisted of me doing massive cycles in forests and just enjoying little things, even camping.

I love nature, but I'm also agoraphobic. Take that how you want.
