That's right, the ultimate king of wicked, Cimex Lectularius, the bed bug. Has anyone had them? You can be honest, mainly because the epidemic is so huge now that everyone is getting them. Expensive hotels, the Empire State Building, celebrities, the wealthy, the poor - everyone. Howard Stern had a huge outbreak in his New York apartment, studios, and limo about four and a half years ago. Afterward, George Takei had them in his apartment as well and talked candidly about it on Stern's show. Bradley Cooper has had them, Rene Zellweger, Jeremy Borash, and others. They've been around as long as us almost. They began as bat bugs (which still exist), and then as humans moved into caves during the Paleolithic era, they jumped down and joined us. Have you ever had ol' Cimex Lectularius? How'd you get rid of them? Do you still have them? Oh, and here's a mad genius. Lou Sorkin has been an entomologist for the American Museum of Natural History since 1978, he studies many insects, including our friend Cimex Lectularius, keeps a huge collection in a jar, and feeds them by inverting it onto his own arm.

Had these a few years ago, I wouldn't wish these on my worst enemy. It was so traumatizing, I had my carpet removed and put tile instead, not to mention the beds and sofas I had to toss out.

Never had bed bugs, but one single bedroom in my house was infested with fleas last year. It was a guest bedroom and I guess my INDOOR CAT somehow dropped a few fleas in there just before we treated him. Well, we closed that bedroom door at the start of summer and I went in a month later to get a blanket and within 30 seconds I had about 75 fleas on my legs (I'm hairy). We had to bomb the room 5 times and I vacuumed the carpet every day for a month. It sucked but I got rid of them.

Thank God I've never had to experience them.
That would so nasty I couldn't sleep on that bed again even if I knew it was professionally cleaned..

A woman at my job had them recently and the managers didn't want to send her home. It took 3 employees threatening to leave for them to send her home. Ridiculous. Don't come to work with bed bugs, get that crapfixed first.

I've had them. Badly. It was while I lived in New York. My mom bought a carpet from some shop and I think they came with that. We had them everywhere. The beds, couches and everything. For some reason though, they wouldn't really bite me. My brother, aunt and mom would end up with bite marks though. I brought my girlfriend over for a weekend, and she was bitten up badly. We had to get bug bombs, spray alcohol and everything.
It happened again when I moved to Ohio. They were literally ALL over my bed. I didn't notice at first, but when I had a lady sleep there, she woke up all bitten and swollen. We had to throw out the mattress. Finally, I moved in with my current girlfriend. We never had an infestation, but would see the occasional one back at the apartments we lived at. We now live in a house and haven't had any issues.

Never had them but had a neighbor that did. Heat is pretty much the only way to get rid of them. She had to take everything that was in her bedroom and wrap it in black trash bags and then sit them outside in the scorching heat.

No, but I did see a ing tarantula crawling towards my bed. I freaked the out, put my steel toe boots on and stomped a mud hole in the thing and walked it dry.

According to their commercial, the Shark vacuum cleaner I've got is powerful enough to pick them up. Whether its actually true or not, I don't know. I haven't actually tried it out yet since I haven't encountered said problem. I only just upgraded my bed earlier this year so I'll wait a bit before giving it a go.
