PacSun is under fire for selling a t-shirt with an upside down American Flag on the front....I respect everyone who has served in our military and I certainly stand tall and proud for our nation...but for God sake....people have took this t-shirt viral on the internet....so viral....that PacSun Inc. has spoke up and took the tee off their shelves. I think its funny how people "come together" to take this "nasty" t-shirt out of our stores...but returns shortly after living their wonderful life's and forgetting about all the homeless vets out there that not a person in the world cares about...it's about sickening. But on the other hand we can have a TV show with a upside down American Flag in their logo and no one even speaks up...House of Cards. So please all you lovely Americans....before you "join the crowd" and get this terrible t-shirt off the shelves....do something useful and get a vet off the streets instead of a t-shirt off the shelves. Thanks! I'm done talking now.
What do you all think?

Honestly, a company could make American Flag toilet paper and I'd have no issue with that.

The main problem is that people see the flag as upside down and automatically think "That's not right, its disrespectful and Im offended" and then start to bitch. If people would educate themselves they'd learn that an upside down flag is a symbol of distress. The shirt is representing the state that our country is in with all of the fighting and distress from everything between Terrorism, Racism to crooked politics. If you went out and asked literally anyone on the streets "Is America, socially & economically a perfect country right now?" 99% of them would tell you absolutely not...but if you brought out the shirt and showed them they would be offended when in reality that shirt, the upside down flag, represents everything they just said.

I just feel like people are getting too worked up over a stupid shirt, but that works too.

What's disrespectful are the idiots who don't understand what a flag in that position means. As someone stated above, it means distress.
I hate my generation. They truly b*tch for the hell of it and they take their self-righteous idiocy and shove it in everyone's face. This is what happens when kids are picked on in school. They grow up without having moved on from "their terrible childhood" and impose their will on people that want nothing to do with it.
Yeah, this is America and that's great and all. But this "wussification" of my country makes me ashamed to be a part of it. We need more Ernest Hemingways and Hunter S Thompsons in this country...
people who aren't afraid to eat a little msg from time to time...people who will knock your block off for being disrespectful to your face, as opposed to writing a blog about it...people who aren't afraid to say a slew of curse words without having to worry about the pc police knocking on their door.
Sorry for the diatribe. I'm falling off of my soapbox, so I best end it here.

Probably not the best time to release a shirt like that.

Isn't an upside down American flag a symbol for distress or help?
The only thing that bothers me are the way too offensive t-shirts they sell in Spencers- in kid sizes.

It's their right to sell that shirt if they want. But it's people's right to complain about it if they want to as well. Ain't America wonderful like that?

I mean, you're right and all. But people take the 1st amendment for granted just a smidge. The ppl bitching about this shirt are probably the same ppl laughing at all of the god awful birthday cards and shirts at Spencer's. Its a double standard, yo. But, that's America for you.

What people can never (or just don't want to) grasp is that free speech works both ways. Pac Sun can simply state that it's their right to sell it, and that's too bad.

I choose not to purchase this shirt. Not giving them your money is more of a protest than complaining. By complaining about it, that probably draws more attention to the company and their product.

Can I add entitlement to the list of the ways of the America?

This is a correct approach. But then of course that's somehow "censoring, silencing, persecuting, etc." because you decided to spend your money how you want. Just like when private businesses decided to not do any investing in Indiana after that religious freedom law was passed. The ppl bitching about this shirt are probably the same ppl laughing at all of the god awful birthday cards and shirts at Spencer's. Its a double standard, yo. But, that's America for you. That's why it's not worth taking things like this seriously.

But like you said, it's not worth taking it seriously
