It's funny to see the early predictions on the first few pages of this thread and then compare them to what actually happened

Fair play to Sunderland.
They always stood a good chance when they got Allardyce in.

Martinez sacked by Everton.
He had to go. The results have been shocking these last few months.

Ugh. This is the fourth season running that Sunderland have escaped now. Just off already.

A monument near the town was lit up red and white to celebrate their 17th place survival. Dream big Sunderland. As if Newcastle wouldn't of done anything similar. I really don't think they would have. Sure, the fans would go out celebrating but I hardly see black and white banners flying from Grey's Monument. I think we would feel ashamed at having been involved in a relegation fight in the first place and if we had survived there would've been an air of "this had better not happen again." Fair play to Sunderland for having more fight in them though. The only silver lining to our relegation will be if Rafa stays. There's actually a good chance of it happening as long as he is given complete control. The club badly needs to be run differently and this is the way to do it. I know many outside the club will think that the Championship is beneath Rafa but think about it another way. If Newcastle stayed in the Prem they'd be playing for mid table at best next year. So being at the top of the Championship isn't hugely different, plus they can still take a run at the cups which is what they would've done anyway. Rafa is more likely to get everything his way now and can actually begin to rebuild his way. Should we bounce right back next year then he is in a great position to kick on from there.

Hope Spurs win the PL. Most goals scored and least conceded; think they deserve it. Don't really like Leicester but I do like Ranieri. Mahrez also deserves POTY; would be a disgrace if anyone else got it, though Vardy probably will 'cos he's English. Remember when people thought Spurs were the best side in the league.

Think that's quite possibly the biggest bottle job Spurs have ever done.

So did you guys hear that Mourinho might be managing Man Utd next season? Rejected the Wycombe Wanders post then. I thought Mourinho was now the favourite for that job?
