If I had to buy a new tv because of FCC saying everything has to be HD, I'd be pissed and tell them to buy me a new tv.

TNA has wasted so much money on so much crap recently, but they won't go HD?
Whatever.

You dont need HD, its not like they are going to HD TV and THATS it. You can watch it regularlly too, but HD can be added as an option

Everyone is going HD. The FCC has ruled that all networks most go HD by 2009. No, the government ruled that networks go digital. that's not the same thing. as for this news, I really don't care. HD or no HD, it's all the same to me.

TNA wants their HD cameras, they better start charging to get into TV tapings, which is another thing I never understood, you need to make money somehow, other than PPV buys and merch.

I believe Universal Studios told them that they cant charge people or something like that I don't know how many times I have said this but... TNA can just as easily move to another arena... go back to Tennessee... go to an arena not connected to Universal in Florida... do something but they should REALLY start charging for tickets... WCW didn't charge for their tickets and look where they ended up...

What does that mean for those of us without HD TVs? Buy one? OK, why don't you give me some money and I will? off. Thanks to those that actually helped. If it were exclusively HD, I'd be pretty upset. Seeing as the only TV in the house that would be even worth making the update to would be the one in the living room... and I have no job.

If I had to buy a new tv because of FCC saying everything has to be HD, I'd be pissed and tell them to buy me a new tv. This is something that people are getting pretty confused about, the FCC has a pretty clear explanation: www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/digitaltv.html....and they WILL help you make the transition: "After February 17, 2009, you will be able to receive and view over-the-air digital programming with an analog TV only by purchasing a digital-to-analog set-top converter box. Between January 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009, all U.S. households will be able to request up to two coupons, worth $40 each, to be used toward the future purchase of eligible digital-to-analog converter boxes. Eligible converter boxes are for the conversion of over-the-air digital television signals, and therefore are not intended for analog TVs connected to a paid provider such as cable or satellite TV service."

HD has the potential to ruin professional wrestling. When the WWE was testing it out a year or two ago they realized that you can see things like when guys miss punches or botch spots etc. much more easier than on regular TV, and you could hear spots being called easier as well.
