Did Kofi really piss someone off backstage? Apparently Brock picked Kofi. Kofi can do those spots well, plus he's at a place in his career where a loss to Lesnar won't matter.

Marked out like Bobby Heenan at Royal Rumble 92 when Bálor won. We really need more of these shows on the Network.

Wouldn't it be amazing if they did events like this every month or two months, go to a different country and put a show together like this. Atmosphere in that arena was fantastic and i really hope they get back out to Japan for a few shows a year.
Loved Neville/Jericho for the sheer fact that seeing Jericho again with the whole crowd chanting for him was nostalgically brilliant and the match had a perfect pace, loved it. Brock/Kofi was short but very sweet indeed. Owens/Balor was AMAZING. Want more.

Balor/Owens and Neville/Jericho were the best matches of the night. Lesnar/Kofi was fun to watch but it was nothing more than a squash match. Everything else pretty much sucked and the Divas match was just awful. Nikki needs to stop calling the spots and Paige needs to stop rushing things idk but those 2 in the ring just don't click well at all.

I bet Kofi was honored to be picked.

I wish they would televise more house shows like this. I wonder how easy it would be for them to make this a monthly or weekly thing or whatever. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to see more shows that were just cool matches.

I can't agree more, it doesn't need to be all the time, they don't need to book special tours just to do this, but with this, as well as the Chamber and KOTR specials, I hope they see the value in this. I'd love to see more Network exclusive in ring stuff from the WWE brand. Think about it, WWE doesn't need to buy airtime on USA or SyFy or anything, they just need to set aside a date, take some cameras, and book a solid card. I'd personally even settle for once a month, a random house show being aired. Doesn't have to be filled with RAW recaps or further storylines, just a house show, like they book any other house show. I've been to those live, those are fun and I'd watch them on the Network. I'm sure others would too.

Chip I figured you'd be interested in this. The WWE has received high praise for the production of the Beast in the East. I read that it wasn't produced by WWE and instead by J Sports or something like that from Japan. People are saying it was refreshing to see a show with no shaky cameras and things like that.

WWE needs to learn from this, and apply to their regularly scheduled programming.

Tonight on RAW they will be back to the shaking camera, telling us to download an app, and now that they plug Cadillac and Apple watch, it's even worse, lol.

This show seems to be further proof that the commentating is the fault of WWE and not the people in the booth. Michael Cole was actually quite good, and was able to show off the fact that, you know, he does know wrestling and can properly call a match when he doesn't have to plug something every six seconds.
What a miserable main event, though. Kane and Wade Barrett should not be main eventing shows.

Finished watching Beast In The East awhile ago and I thought it was great. Best match from that show would have to be Jericho vs. Neville. I'd give the show a 8/10.

When its 2 guys, its more of a conversation between the two of them, calling the match. When its 3, it feels they are just shouting things into the mic trying to get their stuff in, to get themselves over as opposed to the actual wrestlers.

Was it just me that thought Jericho seemed to phone it in during his match? Up until the end he seemed to moving slower and going through the motions.

I just watched the show last night, and yeah it was extremely refreshing. Excellent commentary without 3 guys all trying to talk over each other to get their jokes and plugs in. Actually calling moves and the action. Better camera work, crowd, and, well, pretty much everything. No commercial breaks between the maches. The main event was crap but the show itself was good. Honestly it just made me sad.

This is honestly the first WWE show i have enjoyed in quite a while,I mostly think it was due to the awesome matches between Jericho/Nevielle and Owens/Balor and i honestly think Owens/Balor should have closed the show but beggers cant be choosers i guess
