Hey guys!
This post has been a fair while coming, along with a number of other things, but my trip from Australia to WM31 kickstarted a nearly 1 month holiday in the US and I've been too busy ever since getting back. Not only was WM31 week such an incredible experience, that probably exceeded WM30, it was also awesome for the massive haul I got purchased from all different places, with the WM31 Kane and Taker coming from the superstore at WM31 axxess. Nearly all the items in this haul were the final parts to complete my WM30 figure collection which is now complete, with the exception of that new AJ which is the final piece of the puzzle, looking forward to it! So here is the haul, and a bunch of overdue fixups.
Most, but not all of, the haul.
Managed to get a few WM31 Kanes, the mask looks a lot nicer on the hardcore Kane, and the proper wristband looks great on the 02 RSC Kane where they cheated and simply painted the wristband.
My divas. Managed to strike gold, or red with Eva finding her at Sears or whatever it was, gradually found everyone in her basic set after scrummaging around through the toy section (which was a total mess with crap everrywhere). Walked out with an Eva for $7.50, score! Paige is the best Diva mattel has ever done. In all honesty, Id likely put Emma second. Great attire choice and great likeness.
The Authority finally arrives in figure form! Headswap on HHH from the E35, nobody was going to see it under the mask, may as well add it to the BP suited figure for the perfect COO HHH.
Seth has a black paint wash in his hair, instantly makes the figure more realistic.
E35 HHH has to be one of my most anticipated figures of the year. It was one of the best entrance gear items we've seen at Wrestlemania. I remember seeing it in person at WM30 where it looked so impressive, Im glad Mattel went through with it. Also managed to see it again a lot closer this year at WM31 axxess in the memorabilia section. This new HHH scan is perfect and Im glad mattel finally realised he has very thin/bald hair. That short hair cut was only around for a few weeks yet has plagued his figures for much longer!
I bought 2 E35 HHH's for a few heads and to test out the coat. The difference a little black wash paint can make is astounding. Mattel did a fantastic job moulding the costume (though you'll likely want to dip the pointy top of the crown into hot water to straighten it out) it can definitely be boosted in realism with a little extra touch.
My Elite 33 Cesaro is a great figure, but like nearly everyone else did, the head looks awful and much better swapped with the basic
Also, I have successfully ventured into the world of torso swapping. The lack of a 'Just Bring It' (2013/14/15 version) from mattel is pretty frustrating since he has shown up in this gear at WM30 and 31 and at a number of shows. A bunch of figures out there have the right parts, but none are right. The closest is the superstar entrance gear rock who has the torso, but the arms and lack of pants are all wrong. So, a basic Hogan, superstar entrance rocks, a random basic rock and a few failed torso split attempts, I have finally got the perfect WM30/31 rock with skin-tight vest, exposed arms, belted pants and the just bring it shirt. Very happy that of all the attempts, the torso split right on the one I needed it to.
As cool as E35 cena is to some, he was simply the final piece in the WM30 Cena puzzle, the shirt belongs on the BAF Kane cena for the perfect WM30 cena
So, with all these final touches, the WM30 collection is nearly complete with only that new AJ remaining. So here is WM30, by the figs!
The silver dome legends moment! (still bugs me e35 hogan didn't come with this hulk shirt!)
Yes movement vs the Game!
New school vs old school!
King of Swing wins the Andre Battle Royal!
Cena vs the Wyatts!
The streak is broken!
Wrestle mania becomes Yes-tlemania!
WM30 by the figs!
The shelf is a lot more full now! Paige has earned a spot given my association of her debut with that night after where I attended. And Emma holds a special spot being the first Superstar I saw in NOLA, especially ironic given she is aussie.
Whether I do the same with WM31 remains to be seen, but here's hoping we see some of the unique attires done by Mattel!
Any questions or requests, let me know, happy to help! Thanks for looking!
