Something else I'd like to mention, which I've been meaning to do for a while, but keep forgetting:
I'm totally fine with, and actually prefer, that WWE chose to not go with any established or even semi-established indie wrestlers. They're not stupid. They're well aware that there's two audiences likely to tune into Tough Enough - die hards and realty TV junkies. The former are almost certainly engaged in, or are at least aware of the online wrestling community. The latter have their own, equally hardcore online base. Those people are smart, and they're going to find the "purebred", so to speak, and back he/she unequivocally. Knowing this, I think it's good to keep Tough Enough strictly for guys/gals who want to get in the business (or at least think they want to get in the business) but have minimal training otherwise.
My opinion would probably be a little different if the best developmental territory in the world wasn't thriving and signing indie talents off the street left and right. There's a place for those guys and girls, and the way they make it in will probably be a whole lot more beneficial to their careers in the long run.

My random thoughts:
- Three guys put up for elimination this week? I bet a backstage decision was made to not put men vs women in the elimination voting this early on so they can maintain an even ratio through the whole season. Next week will probably be three women.
- Did anybody really think ZZ was in danger of going home? I hope not because he by far has the most charisma. Hulk choosing him was a wake-up call to keep working hard on his physical conditioning.
- I really hope Brock Lesnar shows up one week so he can confront the guy who said MMA is crap. I would take great pleasure in watching Brock suplex him a dozen times and then turn him into a pretzel.
- Tanner(?) is my favorite right now because he has that cocky heel personality who can back it up. I loved it when he said "twice as many" and then went out and did twice as many as any other male contestant. It should be interesting to see what happens if/when another male does better than him in a challenge.

This season of Tough Enough is a bore, Tanner is the one guy that impressed me the most, he sort of reminds me of Seth Rollins which is a good thing. ZZ has great charisma, but doesn't mean he'll be a great wrestler. Besides that everybody else is meh nothing but a bunch of tall buff guys who I could care less.

I'm sure Vince wet himself when he saw Josh for the first time. Dude looks like a white Roman Reigns.

I don't know how I feel about the live aspect of the show. I thought it was a pretty boring first episode, but I'm still holding out hope that it will get better. I do think it's odd that we, the fans, decide who gets eliminated after seeing them all for basically 20 minutes.

I was so looking forward to this show but I found it very underwhelming. I don't like how it is a mix of taped and live footage. For sure the taped stuff needs to be better edited because it is pretty bad especially the audio which is really hard to hear for some reason. And no, having 2-3 days to edit something is NOT a valid excuse for that. Other reality shows can do it so they need to get their sh*t together.. I agree with some others that I prefer Miz as the host because I liked the post show thing on the Network a lot. As for the competitors I think the only ones who really stood out were: Dianna, ZZ, Tanner, and Patrick. The first two stood out for the wrong reasons too so that is sad. I was originally on Team Dianna but she really made me not care for her much. If she wants to leave she should GTFO otherwise she needs to focus on this not her wedding. I am also on Team Josh but he really didn't do anything to stand out other than form a click with three other dudes out of it seems like jealousy. They need to get over Tanner doing better than everyone else but at the same time Tanner is very cocky and should be way more humble.. Patrick is my second favorite in terms of male contestants but is the person who I feel has the best shot of winning along with ZZ.. Patrick would be a great winner but if ZZ wins that would be so depressing especially considering the last winner was another useless .. I really wish they would add a rule that if someone is in the bottom three say three times they could be instantly eliminated because the fans do not know always know what is best.. Hell I think if all three judges (and I guess Jericho) agree that someone should be eliminated they should get their wish. I mean if ZZ keeps getting dead last in challenges out of everyone then why should he keep getting through? He isn't even funny so let him go back to his swamp so someone who can actually have a legit career can win. I am still going to watch this but I really hope the quality goes up and we get good winners who have actual shots to do something in the WWE.

Too bad WWE cast for what makes a reality show and not actually looked for people who might stand a chance at being WWE Superstars. I said this months ago, and they went with the same stereotypical cast that they always go with.
- The big guys that look good, but have bad cardio. - The guy who can seemingly do it all, but he's too small. - The out of shape goofy guy. - The girl who cries at EVERYTHING. - The girl who is just a bitch.
I mean, wow, is this not EVERY cast from EVERY season of Tough Enough?
Do we really even need Tough Enough anymore? Guys like Finn Balor, Tyler Breeze, Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn (except for 1 match) haven't been called up to the main roster, and the NXT Divas are 1000 times more talented than the WWE Divas.
To me, Tough Enough just seems like a gimmicky reality show and the winner is not really ever going to make it as a WWE Superstar.
Let's face it, except for John Morrison, nobody that has won Tough Enough has gone on to amount to anything.
Nidia and Jackie Gayda were worthless. Linda Miles ended up as some BDSM valet named "Shaniqua", lol. Maven sucked. Daniel Puder got cut. Andy Levine got cut.
Matt Cappotelli had a chance if he hadn't gotten brain cancer.
So really...the people who DIDN'T win Tough Enough (Ryback, Miz, Cameron) have gone on to bigger and better things than the people who DID win Tough Enough.

Big fan of Chris Jericho. Always been a fan and listen to his podcast regularly, but he did nothing for me as host. He's too nice for the show. Tough Enough needs someone who's going to get in their face and ask tough questions.
The Miz, on the other hand, absolutely killed it on Tough Talk. Great host, made it entertaining and his interactions with Daniel Bryan especially made it a much more entertaining show than Tough Enough.
Bryan and Paige were really good on Tough Talk, but Hogan did nothing for me. He's probably just looking for a big muscle head like himself to win.

The only thing I didn't care for was there was... no wrestling training. They didn't get anyone in the ring to take bumps. Nobody drop-kicked. No arm drags. I don't need my wrestling talent to carry sandbags. They voted someone home without giving them a chance to see them in the ring. Seems odd to me.
I would like for the voting to not have begun till week 3. That way it'd give each of them time to show what they can do, with training, in the ring, and personality.

I have to agree with others who have said that Tough Talk is better than the show itself.
Also, The Miz is absolutely great at this kind of stuff. He's undeniably a huge asset to the company, and should have a spot there long after he retires from the ring as long as he wants it. I know a lot of people hate the guy, but he excels in nearly every role they put him in.
Bryan and Paige were great on Tough Talk too. I don't even know if Hogan was paying attention, to be honest.
