RIP Dusty Rhodes
He was one of the best in the ring and on the microphone. He is a lock for a figure no doubt.

Sad day for the wrestling world indeed. Things like this that make me regret selling off my collection a couple years ago. RIP Dream.

I am not going to put Dusty in a lineup just because he died. We do not put out action figures to 'celebrate' or 'honor' someone who recently died. We put them out to make money. An NWA Dusty is something I plan on putting in a future lineup but I am not going to rush work on it now to capitalize on today's news. Obviously

NWA style Dusty has been one of my main hopes for the hall of fame series since it started. Here's hoping he'll be announced for series 3.

What really makes me sick is the fact that people on Ebay are unloading his Mattel and Hasbro figure, because he just passed away and they see it as a cash cow.
Hell, even Jakks Classic Series 10 & 13 are going over $45 and before the news broke, sellers couldn't give those away ...
I hate sorry ass people like that !
R.I.P. Dusty, my friend.

Really sad news. I was just thinking of Dusty the other day - and if they'd ever do an angle where he tried to reunite the Goldust and Stardust... they'd be various backstage segments with Dusty trying to get through to his kids, but with no luck. Then in the end, he'd come out as "Silverdust" or "Oldust" (or something) in full Goldust/Stardust make-up and gear, and they'd all reunite. It would have been pretty cool (and funny)... in my mind anyway. RAW's going to be emotional...

I am hoping they don't wait until RAW and ring the bell for him at MITB

One of my favorite Dusty moments, I only caught on to wrestling from 96 onward.

Thanks Old School Collector! One of the great things about the Classics/Flashbacks line is we still get to honor those guys who entertained us so much over the years (and helping Mattel make money). I know MattelDesignTeam didn't mean it to sound so cold, but that came across like such a bottom line harsh response to folks who already know Mattel is doing the line to make money and are just grieving in their own way one of their favorites. I am glad to hear that an NWA Dusty is being planned. Hopefully we'll get a Nikita Koloff to go with him.

An NWA Dusty is something I've wanted for a long time. I fixed up the first one alright, but one with a serious face, buzzed haircut, and mismatched knee pads would be awesome.

They overproduced it.

yeah i dont think anyone in here wants another Dusty just because he is no longer with us.
I think we are all in agreement that Dusty deserved another era of his career represented by Mattel. Something like this just brings it to the front of your mind. I'm ready and willing to buy any Dusty Rhodes that Mattel will produce.
