Hopefully this can stay here, I don't see why 2005 would be considered classic. I was starting high school at the time...yes, it was a decade ago, but it doesn't seem like the world has changed very much since then or that it should be considered "classic." Anyway, there it is - the first ECW One Night Stand. One thing I will say about it being ten years since ONS is that this shows that there has been nostalgia for ECW longer than ECW existed in the first place. It was around for eight years, and there have been reunions for ten (or 14, if you count the Invasion). Thoughts on ECW ONS 2005? I loved the show, Tanaka/Awesome was tremendous, Crazy/Guido/Tajiri was as well, and of course you can't beat Sandman/Dreamer vs. Dudleyz.

One of the most fun PPV's I've ever watched, to this day. Agreed, they did a great job here paying tribute to ECW, it was nice knowing ECW still had a somewhat large following behind it thanks to the success of the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD ( Still the best WWE documentary in my opinion ).

The 2005 installment was an awesome one-off, a deviation from the main product that had its own feel, fanbase and success.
I do prefer the 2006 installment, however, if only for the crowd heckling the hell outta Cena.

It was fun, but it should have ended there. It was a beautiful swan song that they tried to overplay.

I was so excited for this one I sat up to watch it.....GREAT stuff. Sandmans entrance will go down as one of THE best ever. Pity RVD was injured for it.

I actually ordered this one because I was so excited to see it. It felt like ECW, and it was a nice way to say "thank you" and give the ECW fans one last chance to say "goodbye".
Of course the following year it would all change and the re-birth of ECW was the worse thing us ECW fans could have ever hoped for or seen.

was a very cool experience, and i'm almost ready for a rewatch considering the amount of classic ecw i've watched since 2005. will be far more meaningful now, and i won't wonder who a few of the guys are...like jason!

What an awesome show!
Lance Storm vs. Chris Jericho is a forgotten gem from that event also.

The main WWE board is for what's CURRENTLY going on in wrestling man. Classic is only a tag......don't read too much into it. Its the non current WWE board.

This was ten years ago?! Where does the time go?
I still think of the 90s when people say "ten years ago".

I remember it pretty well. It was right as my freshman year of high school was ending.
I had a deal worked out with my parents in those days where they'd let me order all of the summer Pay-Per-Views as long as I did the various things that were asked of me, mostly mowing our massive lawn (9 acres worth.) It was a year or so before I got my first job. I remember my mom being pissed when she found out there were two Pay-Per-Views in June that year. Eventually they gave in and let me order it, as well as Vengeance. Was a fun night.
