Wasn't Scott injured during his WWE run? Please say yes, it makes the pain hurt less. Indeed he was. Oh thank Yeezus.

Wasn't Scott injured during his WWE run? Please say yes, it makes the pain hurt less. Yes. Steiner had drop foot where his foot would go numb and limp. He could barely walk let alone go 25 minutes. HHH was hurt as well as he was dealing with deep-thigh bruises (that's why his upper leg was taped a lot during late-2002 to early 2003). Add the extra weight HHH put on to match Steiner's physique and you have a recipe for disaster. And what's mind-blowing is that Vince and Steph knew both guys were hurt and still booked them in a 25 minute match. And then we got it again one month later.

Thank you for the information.

I also remember hearing that Triple H said he could get a great 25 minute match out of Steiner because Flair got a great 25 minute match out of Steiner at the January 91 Clash of the Champions card. And the Royal Rumble match started out okay. The first 10 - 15 minutes were good and then it started to fall flat fast and really badly at that.

Wasn't Scott injured during his WWE run? Please say yes, it makes the pain hurt less. He had "drop foot" man. It effectively eliminated 70% of his moveset & mobility. But instead of disguising his weaknesses and yknow making some cash off him? Vince, HHH & Steph chose to backdoor bury him. Utter bull.

I always knew something was off even as a kid. Scotty and Goldberg are weird cases for me. As a kid, I had no idea who they where, but I absolutely loved them when they came in...then they lost to HHH and kind of faded off. Or did Bill beat HHH? I don't remember. Regardless, I remember being really disappointed in how they where handled even as a Kayfaybe kid. I have a good memory of having a Next bike and always thinking "YOU'RE NEXT!" Whenever I rode it haha. Anyways, now I'm going back and appreciating their WCW work and other stuff.

Goldberg beat HHH twice on PPV in 2003......but crucially he didn't beat him when he really should have....in the EC @ Summerslam 2003. Goldberg was like a monster in that EC.....but when HHH sledged him and beat him it crippled his momentum. Plus the post match beatdown by Evolution careered on FAR too long. All the while? HHH was injured and shouldn't have been competing....let alone retaining. It also robbed the rematch a month later of ANY drama because the world and its Ma knew Goldberg was gonna beat him.

Eh, people can say what they want about Bill but I like him a lot. Not everyone has to be a ring general, sometimes I just like to see big guys murder dudes. haha. But yeah, 2003 HHH literally almost made me give up on the product. I hated how he beat everyone all the time, when Shelton pinned HHH I became a huge fan of his haha. Then they derailed his momentum and turned him heel cause...I don't even know.

Let Undertaker beat him. It would have probably sucked but I think that's the best way he can be added to the card and not mess with a damn near perfect show. Was that the Mania where Taker was in the handicap match?

Based on the story line at the time and the fact that both Orton and Batista were off of TV with injuries, we have Booker T going on to face HHH with Flair in his corner for the World title at WM 19 as planned. the weeks leading in to the ppv Big poppa pump comes out to even the odds and save booker from a 2 on 1 beat down from haitch and naitch. At WM19 Steiner comes out in booker's corner, then have him turn HEEL and cost booker the match and beat the sh*t of him after the match. This would play off their WcW feud and Steiner hating Booker for overshadowing him in both companies. Also this way booker does not job straight out to hhh like he did and we have a new feud in Booker/Steiner for post WM season ending the feud at summerslam 03. maybe have Rick Steiner and Stevie Ray getting involved to support their bros.

Honestly, Steiner wouldn't have last that much longer in WWE even if he was healthy.
Once they started drug testing after Benoit killed his family a lot of guys jumped ship to TNA where there were no such tests.
Booker T, RVD, Andrew Martin, etc.

I think the suggestion of Undertaker is probably the best.
I remember watching WM19 thinking "THIS is what they've given Taker?!"

He didnt go to TNA until 2006, so people were still using steroids in the WWE when he left. Didnt he refuse to take a drug test once because they werent making Triple H take one?

Steiner said in an interview they wanted him to take a drug test. He said fine but let's pick up HHH on the way. The WWE then stopped pushing for the test.
