They let Lesnar unleash the beast by ending Daniel Bryan's career and Ziggler a wee lad busted himself open trying to head but this blinding white alien superman sheamus. I don't know if you didn't see me quote your postX I'm not sure what Lesnar did to Bryan either.  My bad sheamus. Lol sorry I guess when I typed beast I just wriite Brock lol my bad. |

I'm into it. Part of the problem has been bad booking. The feud with Zigs was good, but the 'Kiss me Arse' aspect ruined it. From a logic standpoint why would this big Celtic Viking give a rat's @$$ about having someone kiss his @$$? It's stupid garbage. The feud itself would've been much better without that, or the revenge. It was one of those embarrassing wrestling moments that you don't want non-fans to see. Then with his crafty business in the EC he should've won. Ryback may be over, but they clearly have bigger plans for Sheamus. If they want to keep these guys strong they have no business putting them in matches where they are made to look weak. It's just like the whole Reigns/Wyatt debacle from several weeks ago where Reigns beat Wyatt after three matches when he could've just beaten Kane or Big Show. Why are we supposed to believe a fresh Reigns is going to have an ounce of trouble with Wyatt if an exhausted Reigns just beat him. Another example, Barrett - the poster boy. He's champ/king, then loses every freaking match until the title/crown is on the line. EVERY FREAKING MATCH! This is similar to whats going on with Sheamus. I have high hopes that the MITB win is a turning point for him, because I'm seriously into everything about this new character, even the stupid hair actually works because Sheamus himself plays his role to perfection. That's what is ultimately keeping this thing interesting, he's clearly completely invested in his character. He just needs to be booked better.
Although if you never liked him or don't like his style, chances are you won't like this either.

I think the problem is when Sheamus came back and attacked Bryan and Ziggler, he should have never once spoke on the microphone. He should have just came out every week and dominated and beat guys up like he did in 2009 when he came up to Raw from ECW.
Sheamus winning MITB is cool if it means he faces Lesnar. I've wanted to see that match for quite some time now. Both men are big, and would hit hard and throw each other around. It would be fun to see.

I agree they book Sheamus poorly. He's a comedic character one week and then they try to make him seem like a badass legit threat the next.
You can't have him trying to get Dolph Ziggler to kiss his arse one week and then be taken seriously the next. It doesn't work that way.

I couldn't disagree more. In fact, I'd dislike this post if I could. Also, I find it hilarious how some of the haters are the ones taking shots at the Sheamus fans with snide comments. I mean, how much more pathetic can you get to insult a fan who likes something you don't? Yup its really pathetic man. But that's how the ignorant work Joe......they make smartass, smark, snide sh*tty comments because they cant type something legit to back up their "waaaaahhh waaahhhh" opinion  |

He's a tough Irish fella who beats people up(sometimes). He's booked extremely poor most of the time and then they up and decide hey let's push him the following week for a little while and when it flops let's just turn him face(or heel because it's the same every time) and see if the fans give a damn then. Nothing's changed from his debut flop to now, aside from several unsuccessful turns and title opportunities. Everyone always claims he can work... Yet the names generally mentioned are names like oh sheamus vs Ziegler, vs Bryan, vs Cesaro, but no one ever seems to notice that those are guys who could make Zack gowen look good if they felt like it. The guy likely could have been something if they kept a damn microphone out of his hand and let him look like a bad ass... But no we are not entertained fella. He  ing sucks. |

I like current Sheamus more, but it still feels like something isn't quite clicking, as far as his presentation, positioning and how he is booked to in in matches. I don't think it is his fault, but I think they need to make him MORE brutal and ruthless, almost Lesnaresque, for the character to really seem fully threatening

I mean, how much more pathetic can you get to insult a fan who likes something you don't? that's happening both ways. don't make it an us vs them thing, a whopping majority of people simply do not like sheamus and the ones who like him seem displeased with this fact and quick to label it a bandwagon. look at my posts throughout the years - i have never once said i've liked sheamus or enjoyed what he's done. in fact, he's caught flack for years so why this is new to any sheamus fans is beyond me. |

For instance in another Sheamus thread(that's on the front page) a guy laid out why he didn't find Sheamus entertaining.....I laid out a match or two and he said it wasn't for him and stated why......I said that was cool and said "different strokes for different folks". The guy wasn't losing his marbles on a keyboard talking about skintone and hair styles......so that renders your opinion of my "hypocrisy"(lol) null, void and absolutely redundant. BUT I will have to give you some allowance here as I remember back...... you often misunderstand and come to the rescue of the "little guy" when I'm involved. That's your gimmick.....I'm used to it by now and always find it amusing....your just playing your part. |
