Don't know if you still need help, but I think they'll bring it to the front of the store until you're done shopping.

Typically, you need to pay for games right away back in the electronics section.
Sometimes they'll bring it up to either customer service or that one checkout register with the cigarettes behind it, but often you'll run into an asshat employee that doesn't know they can do that.
If you know exactly what you want though, you can just go about your shopping trip as normal, then once you're at the checkout ringing things up, tell the cashier that you wanted a video game, but there was no one back in electronics while you were there. They'll typically call up and have someone bring it up to the register for you. Just be sure to be specific about title and system because employees and any customer behind you will get mighty bitchy if you have to send someone back a second time.

they usually want you to pay for the game immediately in the electronics section, but you should be able to do all your shopping and then go get the game and pay for everything in the electronics section

You have to pay for it then. Or they'll hold it until you are done then ring it up. But they aren't going to let you walk around the store with it until you purchase it.

No major retail store out there will let you walk around the store with newer games before you pay for them. It's too easy for people to steal them that way, hence the reason they're stocked in those display cases with the locking doors on them. Stores do usually have a selection of budget titles that aren't locked in the display cases. Those usually have individual security cases to prevent theft. You can generally escape the electronics section with those and pay for them when you're done with the rest of your shopping. But, if it's a newer game you're after, your only options at pretty much every retail store will be pay for it in electronics, have them send it to the front for you to get later, or ask for it at the front register when you're done shopping. No one will let you get a game out of the locked display case and carry it around the store while you do other shopping.

the only place you can do it is at best buy because im pretty sure they have their games in individual locked cases (unless they changed it as i haven't been there in a while)

What an odd and suspicious line of questioning. Why do you need to be able to walk around with the un-purchased game?

No store will allow you to walk around the store with the game, because they know it would be stolen.

Yeah this is weird. I can't think of any reason you would care about this unless you want to steal it.
