has the release of this DVD been 100% confirmed BY the WWE? because until i actually see something from them I don't believe it's coming out. Honestly I don't think it was ever confirmed. |

Pre-ordered it today it's out in December. DVD is only available to pre-order - I'll wait - wants it on Blu-Ray. Also I may want to get it at Best Buy - may be cheaper. I pre ordered the Blu Ray on amazon (uk). It's £33!! But I'm guessing it will go down between now and December. |

Yeah we can only pre-order the DVD here in the United States - $24.98 is the price now so the Blu-Ray will probably $29.98 when its available for pre-order. Hopefully the cost of both will come down between now and December 8. (Although the Kliq DVD/Blu-Ray didn't at least on Amazon which made people get it elsewhere.) |

that seems odd...like....why do we have all this info NOW, but no confirmation from the WWE
they are NEVER afraid to promote anything as long as and as much as possible....plus if it's coming in november? that's only a couple months away, they have started promoting DVDs WAY earlier before

Even though I didn't see Owen wrestle when he was alive cause I didn't start till a year later, I'm a sucker for documentaries, so I'm definitely getting this. My knowledge of Owen Hart is only from old tapes my brother bought and/or rented before when I was a kid. As for the OP saying they should donate everything to the Owen Hart Foundation, why shouldn't WWE profit from this? Now I think for good PR, they should donate a portion to the Owen Hart Foundation, but everything? Nah, WWE would never do that.

oh i don't know, maybe because that would be the classy thing for WWE to do considering everything. Maybe that would show Martha they are doing this for the fans & Owen and not for a quick buck by idonating the proceeds to owens foundation. WWE is a multimillion dollar global company, them giving away the all profits to 1 DVD is hardly going to impact them financially and maybe it would be a step in the right direction for them to possibly work with Martha to get Owen into the HOF.
While I agree that some of the proceeds should go to Owen's charity, this can hardly be considered a "quick buck scheme". If they would have slapped together some haphazard crap ass quickie dvd in the fall of '99, then yeah...that's them trying to cash in. Let's be fair here though, Owen died over 16 years ago.
Hell, there are probably some people on this board that weren't even alive the year Owen died.
The WWE is not the devil just because of a tragic accident, and they are allowed to make money by selling items emblazoned with the names and likenesses of characters they own the copyrights to.
