Figures do go down if they are in a smoking environment correct? If so, how much do they usually go down by? Or do people even buy them?
For example a RSCE SES CM Punk. Thanks ya!

Hmmm... i would say not too much. Especially CM Punk. The demand for that figure is huge therefore its to the point where people would not care as long as it is a decent price.

I'm close to having my 2nd year anniversary from the day I quit smoking. I smoked about a carton and a half a week, for nearly 10 years prior. If you smoke, you probly don't notice the stink. Trust me though, a non-smoker can notice the stink. Personally, RCS Punk prolly won't be devalued too much, but it's prolly a good idea to advertise think stink. There are many people that would pass on bidding or making offers if they know, or can tell, that it reeks of cigarettes.

As a non-smoker, it's really obvious whenever I get a figure that came from even a light smoke environment. This can usually be remedied, though. Last fall, I picked up this incredible Elite collection with pretty much everyone from the first seven or eight sets, along with a pile of Legends, all complete with accessories. Imagine my disappointment to open the box, pluck a figure and instantly be hit with the scent of cigarette smoke. I'd dealt with much worse, but for whatever reason, this proved to be the most challenging smoke odor elimination challenge I've experienced.
I finally rid them of any odor, but it took weeks of various methods, including soap and water, baking soda, certain laundry detergents (for the cloth accessories), Febreeze.
So yeah, I'd if the item is in demand enough, people will find a way to make it work, but definitely disclose that it's coming from a non-smoke-free home.

If someone is smoking in a different room, over time what effect would it have on moc elites stored in a cardboard box? Eg elite box turning yellowish?
I don't know why people would want to breathe in smoke?

I smoke outside. Very easy to do. Keeps everything in my entire house free from it.

Never and won't ever smoke. But whatever floats your boat is cool.
Back on topic, it depends on how bad the smell is. Once I got 2 loose figs and it was very obvious they were a heavy smoker.
But I know it's hard to get the smoke off. Honestly, cant really say unless I know how strong they are. I'd say it definitely decreases the original price by at least 10%. Just my guess tho. Also include in the listing that they have a smoke smell so people aren't upset when the figs smell like smoke.

Some figures, if smoked around for a long time will start turning colors. I believe this would be over a long period of time. My local comic shop got a great loose Marvel Legends collection but the oldest of the toybiz ones were turning yellow and fading. It didn't bother me about the smell because that can fade and be remedied, but once that color fades or changes it is over.

Never have drank, never have smoked. Those are bad habits.
I'd like to think it does effect the boxes?

Depends on the buyer. Another smoker probably won't mind. Someone who doesn't smoke, it's a big problem. Anytime I buy a figure on eBay, I ask. This came after one bad experience when a buyer didn't disclose that a figure (Elite 8 Edge) smelled of smoke. It took about a month or two for the smell to finally come out.

In terms of value can't really say there is an exact percentage or number to knock off the going price for a figure. All depends on the buyer. Me personally, I will not bid or buy a figure when it states its coming from a smoking environment.
