I agree with Twist, I don't see a problem. Let us not forget, this was a movie. And let us too not forget, that you won't ever see white guys make a movie called Black Chicks. The closest we'll get is C. Thomas Howel in "Soul Man." Her son really isn't in brown face, but just has brown make up on his face. There's a difference where black face was done to mock slaves on a plantation vs. having make up on to match skin tone.

I don't see a problem with it. Same here. Who cares? I think it's a bad move since she recent-ish-ly had a huge controversy involving race.

Maybe this is just the I Love Lucy fanboy in me, but why is this a huge deal? I get where Moesiah is coming from, given who is doing it. But the guy is impersonating a specific person, not the entire Latino race.
Now that I think of it he really didn't need to be that dark. Desi Arnaz was pretty pale given his race, but that's just me being nit picky.

I don't think anyone is denying that race relations have improved over the decades.

I don't think anyone is denying that race relations have improved over the decades. I think I Love Lucy is a show that celebrates interracial marriage. Because she's a fan, clearly Paula supports interracial marriage as well. By framing the story as evidence she is racist, clearly MSN has an agenda. Why are they telling THIS story? Why aren't they talking about how republicans are leading the charge to remove the confederate flag? Could it be because the narrative of that story is drastically different? MSN doesn't want you to think about how 95% of Americans aren't racist. They want to remind you that white republicans still are. Even when they're not. That's my opinion. This story and its coverage supports that opinion.

There is no problem with it in my eyes. He's taking on the role of a character... No big deal.

There is no problem with it in my eyes. He's taking on the role of a character... No big deal. The thing is she was just fired from multiple jobs for being a racist. So you would think common sense would tell her to steer clear of anything racial, even if it was just a costume. Some people taint too learned though.

White people can't do anything without being accused of racism. I drive a black car......oh crap, I should have said African American car. And how dare I force that car to cart my white devil ass around! What is it, MY SLAVE?!?!?! Looks like I'm a racist!

Don't you know? Only white people can be racist and they're all privileged and evil!
Things like this is why I killed my Facebook. Never felt better.

Like I said earlier, she had a similar problem before.

I'm pretty sure that the number of people who get excited over stuff like this is far greater than the number of people who get offended.
The race baiters out there saw this and a tingle went up their legs. They weren't bothered by it. On the contrary, they were excited they got the chance to show the country how racist white people are.

So... What if her son is an actual racist? Should she disown him? Is she a racist by proxy? I heard my white uncle say the N word last week. Does that make me a racist?
Mainstream media has erased the line that separates racism from normal human beings with a sense of humor.
Not saying she isn't racist, because she just might be, but her family dressing up as tv characters isn't the deciding factor in that.
