Isn't it kind of weird when looking back to the Attitude Era that it seemed everyone at one time held a WWE Title (whether Hardcore, European, Tag, IC or the World) but Gangrel somehow never won any title while being in WWE. Out of all the stars from that era, you would think he would have held one title at least, but somehow never did.
I know the Oddities never held any gold, but that wasn't really expected. With Gangrel, you would have thought a European Title reign, or Tag Title reign with Edge or Christian would have taken place, or even a Hardcore Title reign for that matter.
I wonder why Gangrel never got a chance at any gold??

Always liked Gangrel.
I remember he had a decent match with X-Pac for the European title at Royal Rumble 1999 but didn't win obviously.

Hardcore would be the only title I could see him with cause every schmuck held that title.

That is a bit surprising, but after The Brood was done with, I don't think Gangrel did a lot and became a lower card guy.
It's funny because when I think of Gangrel, I think of the Wrestlemania 2000 game for the N64 and how he was WWF Champion for quite some time on there once.

Decent wrestler, cool gimmick & entrance theme (in top 5 favourite themes ever), he definitely should've had Title reign of some sorts.

Its the old adage.....give the people what they want. And they wanted Austin to kick ass.....until he got robbed again. Vince managed to milk that for nearly 6 months....screwing Austin over and over.....it was damn impressive. back OT with Gangrel......meh.

I was never crazy about the vampire gimmick, I didn't think he was great in the ring, and he was dreadful on the mic. I have no issues with him never holding a title.

The roster was so stacked then that it would have been nice to see a more competitive rumble.

I liked Gangrel. I think he would've made a great Intercontinental or European champion.

Gangrel's gimmick was amazing but he was an awful talker.
He always struck me as a guy that didn't need a title or to win THAT many matches though. Sort of like Bray Wyatt (though I think he's been booked terribly).

I would have loved to see him as the European Champion at some point. I LOVED that gimmick and thought he was pretty decent in the ring.
Maybe WWE never pushed him much because of not owning the name thing? I believe it was White Wolf company that owned the name.

always had those weight issues that wwe hate so much, probably kept him from ever really having much of a run. surprises me that he wasn't european champion, i could've sworn, but it's true!

He sucked. He was the epitome of a guy who was nothing but a ring entrance. And when the ring entrance is the only decent thing about your act, it's a waste of time having you be a guy attacking someone for the 24/7 title backstage.

As you'd surmise, he was a long-reigning Intercontinental champion in my figure fed. He's one of my top three favorite wrestlers ever and even I never gave him a shot at one of the top titles.

he may never have been a wwe title holder, but gangrel won the local independent fed's (pwa) title last night apparently:

What is up with all of the glorified Mid-Carder love going on right now?
Gangrel O'Haire Test Wrath
All those guys had potential but either hit their ceilings fast or simply never took a chance.
None of them would have been world champ, ever.
