Doesn't make sense if APA wasn't in their street clothes with the door and table. Only thing I don't like is the skin tone of Farooq and the small torso Bradshaw. APA was famous for their skits, ETC. Nobody cared for their in ring work anymore. However, I do want Acolytes Elites for the Ministry Era. This is pretty much spot on for me. I want to set the door up next to the table and have them sitting on chairs around that table. That scene makes a lot more sense in street clothes. Probably the ONLY thing I would have changed was sleeveless shirts....but even that's not a dealbreaker for me. I'm looking forward to getting both guys!

Correct me if I'm wrong didn't the APA wrestle in jeans but used wrestling gear when they were the Acolytes before they were APA *Space RESERVED for East Coast and his YouTube video hidden by spoiler tags*

Thing is, APA are more remembered in their 'henchmen' street clothes. The backstage segments and 'jobs' (not those kind of jobs...) were what they were all about, and they even occasionally wrestled in the jeans. They did wear a range of tights, but honestly, APA in tights doesn't really wow me. Acolytes in tights with the symbols is not APA. That's a different shade of the gimmick, and that I can understand being something people wanted and disappointed with.
In terms of this APA...
+The door with APA window is ingenious. A perfect accessory that you can't really do with anyone else. +The new shirt molds. I was afraid they'd try to give them those bulky rubber shirts, but alas, they choose the right mold. +They both have different belts on and what appears to be a new glove mold w/ zipper.
-Sleeves. Even worse, they're painted on. I don't understand how this happens when every picture you can find of them online from this era has them cut-off. Looks bad. -Bradsaw seems to have the Harper mold, which means he'll have that weird indention where the cloth is supposed to be for Harper. Looks like the torso doesn't fit right, either. -Faarooq's head looks strange and his skintone is MVP vs Matt Hardy Adrenaline 2-pack levels of too dark. Just use Rock's skintone for him.
They're mostly okay figures. Main tweaks I'd make are to lose the sleeves (which honestly is cheaper for them anyhow!) and adjust Faarooq's skintone down. After that, these are great!

The best part about SDCC (besides the Bulldog) is it opens the door for this: We've got Elites in the works of Faarooq and Godfather (Kama). Now give us an NOD Faarooq with his hat, leather jacket and leather belt in the HOF Series. Problem solved! Or, better yet, give us that Rock attire with Faarooq, Kama and NOD Mark Henry in a 4-pack. If I'm not mistaken Mattel has the rights to all of those guys. And I agree the skin color is somewhat off. He's not as lightskinned as The Rock, but he's not as dark as Ahmed Johnson (which is basically the skintone Mattel gave him).

Faarooq is too dark and the shirts need to be sleeveless. Other than that though, I love them. Glad we are getting the table and door.

Faarooq wasn't that black.
He could have easily used the Darren Young/Otunga skintone.

Looks like the same scan to me. Only difference is the hair and some forehead lines added to Faarooq. How?

The accessories are awesome, Farooq is too dark though. Hope they fix that before final production. Other than that I am pretty happy

Can anyone name me 1 APA match where they wore Jeans & T shirt (pre JBL era). Ever main feud, every title match, every major PPV event these guys are in wrestling tights. Only backstage segments have them in jeans & tshirts. Imagine if the only Stone Cold we got was in jean shorts and a vest and we never got him in wrestling attire. I distinctly remember the APA wrestling a squash match on the first Sunday Night Heat of January 2001 against KaienTai. Bradshaw in light blue jeans and black boots and Faarooq in black jeans with cream coloured cowboy boots.

I think Ron looks fine. It's not perfect but not where i'd complain personally.

Hendrix83I've seen amazing customs using the Rocks torso for Ron and it doesn't look bad at all, yeah he's not as light as the rock but close enough to where it looks better than mattels choice (btw, I love your Jericho sig) haha Honestly I'm past the whole ring gear , street gear, as soon as I seen it I was disappointed but still appreciate it more and more every time I see pictures of it. I'm so stoked that they did APA but it does bother me that his skin tone is too dark and the scan looks depressing and similar to one of the new day members. Bradshaws scan looks tons better than E23 JBL, I would be surprised if it is the same scan.

It's a Wfigs conspiracy, man.. Anyway if they only have a few basic skintones to choose from, Faarooq's definitely closer to Rock than Ahmed Johnson. I've heard Papa Shango, David Otunga and Darren Young as other possible suggestions. But I don't own any of those figs to compare to Rock.

I'm fine with APA's "backstage look". Their segments are what I remember not their ring work as much. It doesn't matter to me that much and there are good accessories that come with the 2 figures. Besides all the APA wore were black tights, nothing fancy or anything I'm gonna miss. And the symbols were when they were the Ministry Acolytes.

I'm looking forward to these figs. i'm excited for the tough guy shirt mold, excited for their street look and i'm not usually one who likes street gears. loving their accessories.
Not a big fan of them though so no complaints, just happy to fill up attitude era roster.
Maybe getting two sets, one for making acolytes and can use their street gear for other customs.

Not a fan of the attire choice. Thought I was going to buy.... but I like ring gear.
