The reason the Faarooq figure looks like the old Big E head is because the first Big E head looked more like Faarooq than Big E.
That is one of the worst excuses I have ever heard.

I'm fine with the molded shirts. They wore them tucked in, so it's not a big deal.

What concerns me here is that Mattel has been so good about getting detailling right and yet here these two have flaws.
I have gone from must buy to no thanks on APA.
I also find the decision not to release them in ring gear as bizzare.
At the time Jakks had the license people were crying out and vocal about wanting wrestling gear APA/Acolytes. They never came and still they don't come and still people complain.
It's a shame Mattel didn't do an official vote on what costume they should be released in. Instead someone has made the decision, spilt the fans and made figures that have detailing issues.

In my opinion, they are great looking figures. If Mattel fix the shirt issue (remove the shoulders) then these figures are must buys for me!

I'd just like to see Farooq's skin tone lightened. That's the only major flaw with the set to me.

when they were apa this was their most iconic look ...shirts were always tucked...wouldn't look right with cloth or plastic shirts....I would have loved elite38 as the acolytes but satanic symbols on figures met for kids in the pg era? I don't see it happening...sure godfather is coming but he doesn't have pimp or hoe train painted on him anywhere.... ministry acolytes would be awesome..i just don't ever see it happening.

says the person who created a new account, just to talk crap, instead of being a man, and just saying whats on your mind Regardless of whether thats true, he's right. The shirt looks weird, JBLs legs look awkward, Simmons head doesn't resemble him in my opinion, and above all else Ron Simmons was never that dark. These figures are going to cost $22 a piece or more, I personally will not spend $44 for these figures as they are. Which is a shame, because I was looking forward to these figures.

Oh c'mon with this PG BS! Its so obvious Godfather is a pimp, he has a ing cane! lol Billy Gunn has lips on his a$$ (his crotch would take it too far) but I don't see "satanic" symbols being an excuse to not release Acolytes. Mattel can do it.

Farooq looks like a travesty. Bad Mattel, bad. Glad someone had the guts to call Mattel out. We are paying 20 bucks and they really made a poor choice with APA design.

Mattel can do it. The whole PG thing is way overdone nowadays. Maybe thanks to Linda McMahon and her conservative political aspirations. But people forget that WWF was PG for the first half of the Attitude Era. It wasn't until 1999 that WWF went TV-14. And before that time we had Mr. A$$, The Godfather and the Ministry Undertaker. And wrestling was great despite PG.

I always thought the APA shirts were so weird. It says APA Protection, so when you think about it, it's Acolyte Protection Agency Protection. ALWAYS thought that too...mentioned it multiple times in other threads...Acolytes Protection Agency Protection probably used to work in the Department Of Redundancy Department at some of their first jobs prior to their respective stints in WWF/E

But that's another subject lol Mattel can make Acolytes with symbols across their chest.

says the person who created a new account, just to talk crap, instead of being a man, and just saying whats on your mind What does that have to do with anything? Thank god you posted that, I was confused what to think there for a second. Anyways I completely agree, I find MDT making a lot more excuses lately than they ever have had to in the past. The Faarooq headscan looking like Big E, the Undertaker DM, no Undisputed Jericho, etc... Im afraid we're starting to see a decline in quality from Mattel.

What I dont understand is that didnt they say they were making a BP version of them? Ok, so why not put the tshirt versions in basic form and the in ring attire version in elite form? I hate the basics but I dont mind t shirts and entrance gear in basic. It just seemed to make more sense that an in ring version has more articulation. Oh well, Ill still buy them but I am disappointed. This is what MDT read "blah blah blah blah.... $$$$$$ blah blah"
Regardless, for those who won't buy because of a few flaws, someone else is willing to pick them up. So no worries for Mattel.

Im afraid we're starting to see a decline in quality from Mattel. there are several members on here with Multiple Accounts. one account to kiss ass with. and make sure they tell everyone how high they're post counts are. and the other to talk shit. that way it doesnt hurt the first account. its nothing new. several members have been doing this forever

Here are my issues with the APA:
The versions shown at SDCC should have been a Battle Pack (similar to the new Hall & Nash coming out).
The Elite versions should have been in their wrestling gear.
