Anyone else thinks E38 Farooqs skin tone is a bit too dark? I think The Rocks skin tone would've been better for him. I know its too late to change that now but I just want to discuss on APA in general. I'm more excited for the accessories haha Mattel did perfect on that.   |

Skin tone is leaat of my concerns. I was hoping apa would be in their wrestling attire, rather than street clothes. APA went from a must have, to if I see them in stores I MAY get them.
Should have saved this attire for a battle pack or something.

it was discussed a ton in the SDCC thread about Faarooqs skintone being way too dark.
Also the issues of Bradshaws torso not fitting into the crotch piece they used....and the fact that 99.9% of the time we saw APA in street clothes....they wore sleeveless shirts.

I hate the scan too. I wish he didn't have a goatee and the skin tone so dark. Great accessories tho  I'll buy it but I hope the next farooq is better. I really want the acolytes and nod farooq. Apa farooq was my least wanted farooq anyway |

I for one am very happy with the attire choice, its exactly what i wanted out of APA, i mean they even have the zippers on the gloves. When they are done in wrestling attire it should be the Acolytes, with the symbols on their chest and everything. But back to APA. Farooqs skintone is definitely too dark, with that tone he looks like an older Big E. But the door is fantastic and i cannot wait to get these guys.

Sorry, I'm not going to go through 300+ pages haha
I wanted to mentioned the attire choice too, but I would sound like I'm complaining a storm because I am disappointed in E38 APA, I think the street gear is good for a battlepack. We never got a proper APA in their ring attire, its like Mattel is looking into JAKKS choices or something.

Should have been in ring gear and then this look in a battle pack or even Tshirt series. I personally would have rather had Justin Hawk Bradshaw & All American Ron Simmons.....Either way it could have been a pre order item. Now its just a "whenever I catch them both on pegs" item

APA being in street gear was a huge letdown. Like I said in the SDCC thread, if they already had figures made of them in ring gear, I would have been more accepting of this attire choice. However the odds of us ever getting another APA flashback elite are basically none at all. So to never have them in ring gear is an absolute travesty.

I love the attire choice. Everyone really remembers them for this gear and it is their most iconic IMO. Only thing I don't like is the Simmons scan, it looks nothing like him to me

I love the APA figures as they can fit in with other toys as security similar to the shield. I love the unique chairs and table. The door looks AWESOME! I'm not really fused about the skin tone.

I don't know how MDT could make such awful, awful mistake. A skintone like The Rock's or Rey Mysterio would've been fine for Faarooq.
Love that the APA are in street gear, but there are lot of things that could've been better:
- No sleeves like East Coast mentioned
- Open hands for both (If a figure's going to come with a chair, it's gotta be able to hold it!)
- Cowboy boots for both
- Faarooq in black jeans
- An angry or DAMN! expression for Faarooq instead of the all too common sedated/bored look (I don't how people can say it doesn't look like him, though.)
- Different legs for Bradshaw that don't make him look dumpy (Elite 6 Shad Gaspard's legs come to mind, but they might be a little long.)
The accessories are on point though. Makes me want to find that Jakks filing cabinet.

Hopefully one day we will get them in their in their black tights and even the body paint, maybe a battkepack, I wouldn't mind them being basic (the tights).
