Not gonna pick a side here, but a couple things about the Raw debut bugged me...
-I didn't see any point in Steph being out there doing intros, made the whole thing feel too forced. Love Steph but she detracted from the segment for me.
-Sasha should have come out with her nXt women's title belt, proudly. And she should have had Naomi and Tamina flanking behind her as if she recruited them, she's the BOSS...instead of Steph deciding that they'd be together.

Agreed, Stephanie stood in the way of the moment feeling organic. Introducing them one-by-one was almost weird. I think a run-in type of situation where Paige got jumped by Team Bella after Nikki cut that promo and Charlotte and Becky came in for the save, and then Sasha marched down with the other two and joined in, would have been the way to go. Then Stephanie could have come out and made a match out of the whole deal and referenced Nikki's promo. I'm team Paige on this one though, I love Becky Lynch. I'm actually 100% content as long as one of the NXT women immediately take that title off of Nikki. My money is on Sasha and I think she'll keep the lackeys by her side to have a stable, as we've seen her flourish in that leadership role. I'd love to see Charlotte, Becky and Sasha together as a group, but you have to divide them up to get the most out of the division imo. |
