Last month TCKDEEN approached me with the idea of doing an Exhibition match. Much like the old Custom PPVs in the past, just 1 vs 1, with everyone else voting the winner. We pondered at the endless possibilities on who we could do. Names like Buff Bagwell, Kevin Nash, Sean O'Haire, etc, came up, however in the end we decided to do... So the stip was Jeff Jarrett. Could've been from any era, from his days in the WWF, WCW, TNA, whatever. Just had to be Jeff Jarrett. The deadline was a month later, and here we are today. Rules1.) Vote for who you thought pulled out the better custom. However you must give a reason.
2.) If possible, leave constructive criticism. Rather than totally trashing a custom, leave some feedback.
3.) No fighting. Not like there would be any fighting. I just need a third rule so I'll throw 'No fighting' there. *Thumbs up*

Here's an event that I've decided to run. WF has not had a Custom PPV in a long time, so hopefully this can liven things up here.
If you want to enter send me a pic of your most recent custom. That way I can put you against someone you are evenly matched with.
This PPV will have limited entries, so join as of right now. Just send me a PM. [/size]

I love the idea of this, it's so awesome. Here's my vote and why-
I vote for Bartman
Bartman- I love the custom skintone, however some parts around the shoulder joint need to be touched up. The painting is smooth, the hat is great too. He had so many outfits during his first WWF run that I bet it was hard to pick one, but you picked a good one. It looks fantastic. I'm not crazy about the head, but it's better than I could do.
TCKDEEN- I like where you were going with this, however some of it is rough. The designs on the tights could be touched up. The shirt logo needs to be bigger to cover up the original design. The boots should be taller, the medium boot mold would be ideal. If you touched up the kneepads and tights it would really be great. I'm not a huge fan of that head either. The silver looks great.
Great job to both of you, however my vote goes to Bartman

I vote Bartman, I love the attire, it was very neat, the paintjob was great, TCKDEEN seemed a little sloppy, and his looks alot more like Shane Douglas dressed up like JJ to me than the actual Double J. Both are good though I just prefer Bartman's Jeff.

bartman
although im not fond of either headscan your painting is MUCH smother. the second one looks like it was thrown together in 10 minutes. with the quality of that shirt you would have been better off not doing it at all. shorts are sloppy, knee pads are sloppy, boots are sloppy. and i cant help but think thats mr. perfect with a goatee. bartman i wish you would have sculpted the straps. i would like to see if you finished out the backside too. also its a little rough around the neck. overall not bad and bartman gets my vote

I'd have to go with Bartman simply for the fact that the painting looks smooth and the headscan works great. TCKDEEN's Jarrett was slightly sloppy paint, the shirt can clearly be seen as a Cena shirt, and a crusier torso doesnt really work for Jarrett. The headscan is amazing though.

I Have to give my Vote to Bartman on this one!
BARTMAN - The head scan is great, love the painting. Overall great custom. I would suggest using print-outs for the "JJ's" on the cowboy hay rather then painting them. GREAT JOB
TCKDEEN - Good custom. For the The decals I would suggest going to a office supply store, like "staples" and using their colouring printers. It would make the "Black" look much Darker. Also It's visable to see that's it's the Cena "Chain Gang Exclusive shirt. I would cover that up with either paint or a bigger decal.
The big reason why I gave my vote to Bartman is because, In my opinion, he used a better Head scan. altough Mr. Perfect is OK, I wouldn't of known it was a Jeff Jarrett Custom if he didn't Have the guitar and slap nuts T-shirt on.
Thanks for the contest, Great Idea Guys

I am going with Bartman because the paint looks smoother and like the detail. Though TCKDEEN's was also very good, the paint's smoothness killed it. The color choice were very good though.

Bartman's Jarrett custom is way better. The painting is much better. It's smooth and not sloppy. I really like the modding and the head choice is pretty good. The cowboy hat and the IC title are a nice touch. Is that a Brent Mursburger head on your Jarrett custom?

This idea could literally turn this board around. As long as people turn in customs and don't flake out like they do in so many custom tournaments.
Bartman- I'm not too big on the head idea. I don't think it looks much like Jarrett and the eyes look weird. I dunno if it's the blonde eyebrows or what. Jarrett has giant blue eyes as well. The attire looks real good. The lines on the tights could be a bit straighter. Besides that, the painting looks awesome. The white IC title looks good too. The hair color matches up.
TCKDeen- Not a fan. The decal on the shirt doesn't fit over the other shirt. It doesn't blend either. The lines on the tights are very sloppy. The knee wraps are very sloppy. Use tape to mark off your lines, so they are even. The hair doesn't really capture the "slapnuts" look either. Jarrett had a solid buzzcut in WCW. The face looks a bit decent.

Yeah, when TCKDEEN approached me with the idea, and we chose Jarrett, I didn't really want to do a WCW/TNA one. Plus, you don't see many WWF one these days anyways, but oh boy, finding a head for him had to be the hardest thing ever.
In the end, I went with half-Paul Orndorff & half-JBL. A technique that I saw Rome do with his Brock a while back, and I wanted to attempt it.

If you would've chosen someone else other than Orndorff, I think it could've worked. I thought it was a full Marty Jannetty head or something. Excellent work.

I prefer the Bartman custom. The painting is clean and the concept is complete. Not sure about the head choice, but definitely could have done worse. The painting on TCKDEEN's is a little sloppy and the head really just looks like Curt Hennig with some sharpie. I am not one of those people who think sharpie and printouts have not place in customizing however those printouts/iron-ons are not clean enough not to mention the Chain Gang Soldier logo is still showing.

Bartman easily.
It is so clean. The head actually resembles him. The attire is fantastic. And Bartman actually understands presentation helps a lot. Seeing an air-conditioning vent in the background doesn't really help with TCKDEENs presentation. I would have loved to have seen some glitter to represent the rhinestones on his attire..maybe my WWF nostalgic history is a little fuzzy but I think I remember seen Double J with a lot of rhinestones on his attire.
Fantastic job Bartman.
TCKDEEN..it is very nice. But the shirt is horrible. Cloth shirts suck, but not only did you used a cloth shirt but you simply put a printout over an existing design that still sticks out on the sides. The head looks bad. It looks more like the Franchise than it does Double J. The painting is pretty good but the kneepads look like they could use one more coat of yellow as i still see some silver in there. But overall it is nice and with a few changes it could be very good.
Nice to see Custom Tourneys starting up around here again.
