Also the final car scene is garbage way too much CGI on Black Panther. Yeah, the last shot doesn't quite hold up to how real that foot chase in Civil war looked or even the opening scene of Deadpool. Everything else got me hyped though. Totally forgot Angela Bassett and Michael B. Jordan were in this. Michael B. Jordan? Marvel gave a chance to another Human Torch!?

The final shot of the car chase was the least interesting thing about the trailer.. Everything else was head to toe legit.
And Run The Jewels playing?? Black Panther hit the mark.
Hopefully Black Panther is doing what Doctor Strange did the best which is start setting up the sequel's villain in the first movie.

During the making of Foxs "average 4" Jordan was VERY loud in his criticism of the lasck of black heroes often pointing the finger at MS. Its great for me that FF failed so miserably because it sucked the ego outta Jordan and has probably given his career a 2nd chance because he was a total knob in interviews during that movies filming.

X-Men sequel is a go, apparently. Kinberg to direct, which makes sense since he's written so many of the scripts. Guy has never directed a movie before though. Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, Beast, Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler and Storm all confirmed to be returning. Curious, since Lawrence said she was done and McAvoy thought they were moving on without him. Seems like Peters should have been announced as main cast too, but maybe they feel like they're done with his story for the time being after the way Apocalypse ended.
I guess we'll see. There are a number things I want from this, but I've stopped having expectations for X-Men movies.

Tom Holland recently revealed that they are doing a trilogy with Spider Man. He then apologized to Marvel for letting it slip.
I don't know how I feel about the X-verse anymore. Just when I think they've screwed themselves, they release DOFP. And I fall back in love. Then when I get excited, we get Apocalypse. And then I quickly remember why I kinda hate them. I do know one thing, stop focusing so much on Mystique, and that should help immensely.
I agree with Word that the spot with the car was the least impressive thing about the BP trailer. Besides that, Marvel nailed it. That music with those clips just worked beautifully together.

The X-Verse.......or "The good, The Bad & The Ugly" of superhero movies as I call it because the efforts range from superb efforts to "meh...forgettable" to "Jesus what the f*ck were they thinking".
Anyhoo Jessica Chastain is in talks to play "a villain" in X-Men: Dark Pheonix. We can only hope.....Although I'm sceptical of Kinberg. Many of the "earth shattering game changers for the comic book movie" That trank implemented in his FF disaster were as much to do with Kinberg as anyone.

Jennifer Lawrence must have realized her stock is no longer as high as it once was.. Considering the fact she flat out has admitted to no longer being interested in comic movies and feels she is "above" such movies, yet here we are talking about how she just inked a new deal..
I'm hoping Fox is understanding that Apocalypse didn't sell more with Jennifer Lawrence.. Passengers didn't sell more because of Jennifer Lawrence.
Hopefully her lack of box office success these past couple years gives FOX the ability to not put her front and center.

Kinberg adores her man.... he loudly credited her as the magnetic presence that made 1st Class the perfect Launchpad for the X relaunch he also couldn't stop talking about her before and after DOFP & Apocalypse... he has likely told her the franchise wont proceed without her or some such rubbish. Be prepared for Mystique to be the one that takes down the DP...... I'm wondering will they recast Wolverine for this movie? Probably not in fairness.....but you KNOW that's en route sooner rather than later.

I absolutely love Jessica Chastain. So that's a positive for me. I hope they stick with her alien origin over religious nut for Lilandra. I was the biggest fan of Morrison's use of her.
They're stuck between a rock and a hard place on Wolverine. They can't do Dark Phoenix without him, and it's really too soon to recast him. This is why I don't understand their incessant need to do the Dark Phoenix Saga. We already saw this story carried out over the first X-Men trilogy. Maybe they believe they can get Jackman back. We saw Jean and Logan interact in Apocalypse. So that's probably how he ties them together for this next one if they bring Wolverine back.

Wolverine is tricky because of his involvement in Apocalypse. This would have been a great spot to introduce a new Logan....or would it? I'm so conflicted....LOL

As much as I love Jackman they had the perfect opportunity to bring in a new Wolvie. It just messed up the timelines even more.

They don't need to replace Jackman anytime soon. Going forward I believe the plan is to go with X23 which will work out just fine for now.

They will however continue on with her in her own film if what I've heard is true. The McEvoy movies don't need Wolverine. Unless they change the time lines again, the Professor won't even meet Logan again until he is old man Stewart. They will probably just end up rebooting the whole X-Universe after the next couple of movies anyways.

During a recent interview with Amy Pascal & Kevin Feige, Amy has stated that the Venom & Silver/Black solo films WILL be in the same universe as the Tom Holland MCU world! {Link to the confusing mess}I mean maybe this is something new that just transpired? Maybe she's crazy? Notice Kevin doesn't respond. I mean I hope it's true cause Tom Hardy vs Tom Holland would be something.
