Just starting Iron Fist season 2 binge now. Hoping it's alot better than season 1. Hope Davos and Typhoid Mary are better villains than the hand.

We have still been plowing through the MCU and here are my thoughts on the recent batch we have watched. Guardians Of The Galaxy: What a great freaking movie this is. I think I have seen this about ten times now and it never gets old. If there has ever been a franchise that could threaten Star Wars sci-fi crown it is this. They cast this movie perfectly and I honestly do not think that I could pick a favorite between the Guardians. Also on a side note, my wife and I are huge Parks and Recreation fans and seeing the transformation Chris Pratt went through to become Star Lord from Andy Dwyer is still insane to see. Avengers Age Of Ultron: I had not seen this movie in a couple of years and if you had asked me before I watched it again I would have told you it was in my top five.... watching it again though it would not crack my top five at all. It is not a bad movie at all, but in comparison to the rest, there is just something not as good. Also the fight sceene at the start of the movie has some really bad CGI. This is the only Marvel movie where I have noticed that something is clearly CGI it was especially bad with Thor and Cap. I was watching it on blu ray on a 4K TV so I do not know if that was perhaps why it was so noticeable, but the rest of the movie did not seem as bad so it is weird. Ant Man: This is a really fun movie and my son who is ten still says that this is one of his favorite movies of all time. I love Paul Rudd as Ant Man and the whole movie is just a good watch. My dad who is in his 50's still says that if you told him 20 years ago that Ant Man would be a bigger deal than the Justice League he would have laughed in your face. Civil War: I think I have a new favorite!!!! before we started our journey back through the MCU I was sure Winter Soldier would still be my favorite, but man I freaking loved this movie. This was probably the third time I watched it. first time in the theatre, second just after it came out on blu ray so it had been a while since I saw it. Civil War is one of my favorite comic book arks and when I first saw this I knew I was not getting that exact thing on the big screen, but I was a little disappointed with how small the scale was in the movie compared to the book. Well seeing it again after a couple of years made me really appreciate this movie. It lasts two and a half hours, but it does not feel like that. Also team Cap all the way. I was with Cap in the book and I am with Cap in the movie. My wife is team Iron Man..... which could be grounds for a divorce as how can anyone take Tony's side in this Team cap is the only right answer ever Team Tony. Cap

In the Comic the correct answer is f#ck Tony all the way 100%.
Not quite as "cut & dried" in the movie but yeah....it's still Team Cap all the way.

Cap is a whiny ass baby. His weird fetish of protecting Bucky makes me sick. I don’t care if he was under the spell or not.. he killed Tony’s parents.
Tony had them both beat. It took two “super” soldiers to beat him. And he’s not worthy to carry that shied.
Team Tony. Forever and always.

I think it's worth mentioning that Cap sees Winter Soldier and Bucky as two entirely different people. He's never seen Bucky as the Winter Soldier because that's not who Cap believes Bucky is as a person, and he's not wrong. Cap sees the inherently good in people and he's not giving up on saving Bucky from the Soldier inside him. That's his oldest friend. His only friend before he was a super soldier. His loyalty to Bucky runs as deep as his loyalty to the flag. Cap also still feels partly responsible for what Bucky became since he wasn't able to save him. Bucky as a character is a shade of grey and Iron Man and Cap both see the situation as black and white from opposite perspectives. It's a brilliant story imo.

I really should post here more often. The MCU is probably my favorite thing. My only complaint is that they didn't include The Defenders in Infinity War even as a minor cameo getting their asses kicked quickly.
Infinity War is a masterpiece. Ant Man and the Wasp was also a lot of fun.

The technology for de-aging actors is getting better and better. Compare Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy to Clark Gregg in Captain Marvel in only a span of 8 years it went from looking like rubber to looking like the built a time machine and built a younger actor.

I think it’d make for an interesting plot point for the shows.
