Finally watched Venom. It was.... a movie. Luckily for me, I got it for free. Glad I am not the only one! I have no idea how so many people are praising it. I like Tom Hardy as an actor, but that dude on the screen is not Eddie Brock! My expectations could not have been any lower so I thought that maybe, just maybe I would have fun with it, but I did not. It felt like a movie that was craped out to make a quick buck.

It was generic to say the least. It gave us nothing new story wise, the CGI was meh, and the acting seemed phoned in. I like Tom Hardy too, but it was like he was doing an impersonation of Vincent D'Onofrio from the first MIB. Said before, it's a shame. Because I would love to have seen Marvel Studio's take on the symbiotes. And it would have been great to see Holland vs Hardy.

Venom wasn't bad. It wasn't great, but who actually thought it would be? Of it was in the MCU, handled right, then yeah. But this wasn't bad. I don't think Hardy was a great choice, but leaps and bounds above Eric Foreman.
I just want some dark movies with venom, carnage, toxin, etc. Much the way I crave a Mortal Kombat reboot to look.

I really enjoyed venom for what it was.

I found when watching it I liked the parts without Venom better. It was like a movie script they had and adjusted it to fit Venom in.

Venom was mediocre at best. Everyone has their opinions and I respect that. There was some very cringe-worthy stuff in there to say the least.

It had issues but overall I enjoyed Venom. At worst I’d put it on par with the worst MCU movies.

Venom was a turd end of story. Also its not Venom because there was no Parker & Spider Man. Its just like Berrys Catwoman. Means zip to me....
Its a pity that out of all the sh*te Sony has thrown at the wall and didn't stick? This did...….just gives them the confidence to carry on with their effin nonsense.

I've seen so many comparisons to the old 2002-2007 movies. They should've stuck to animated style as Spider-Verse was the better spidey movie from them.

Just saw Spider-verse and I really liked it. By far the better film between that and Venom. Leaps and bounds better. The after credit scene had me in tears. Seriously. Here it is (from YouTube) for anyone not wanting to wait...

30 days until Punisher S2... Still no trailer... 31 days until cancellation. Probably, but, supposedly Punisher stands the best chance out of them all. He has broader appeal than Daredevil or the other cancelled ones. And Netflix still has 4 seasons left on their contract, 3 after Jessica Jones S3. Can't imagine that they would wanna walk away from making money.

It definitely has wider appeal than Punisher. But Netflix is cutting ties with any and all content that is produced by outside studios, so Punisher is absolutely dead. Punisher & JJ were just lucky enough to already have been renewed and in production before Netflix made their decision to go in that direction.

Bottom line is Disney wants all their properties back with them for the streaming service. The relationship between Netflix and Disney has soured....and this is the fallout.
Fine by me....Netflix will be gone the same day Disney launches their service.

Yeah, but this wasn't about appeal, it's all about the bottom line. Like IRS said, these will be cancelled as well. It was just a matter of them already being in production before the decision was made. Bottom line is Disney wants all their properties back with them for the streaming service. The relationship between Netflix and Disney has soured....and this is the fallout. Fine by me....Netflix will be gone the same day Disney launches their service. Funny thing is, that this wasn't even Disney's call. The deals were in place, and by all accounts it looked like they were going to let everything run its course and just not renew. It was Netflix that made the call on cancelling because Disney finally released concrete details about Disney+ instead of it all just being rumors.
