Well looks like Gambit is pretty much done and over with at this point since Tatum left. From what I've gathered, Tatum could be using this as a public negotiation tactic. For either more money or script rewrites..

For either more money or script rewrites.. Eh the guy is nothing special especially in the MCU. If it were Hugh Jackman, Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr. then I can understand the tactic to get more money and script rewrites as they're huge MCU stars, but Tatum hasn't prove anything for us to care and can just be replaced with someone else as Gambit.

I don't think it'll work like that. This movie was only being made because Channing Tatum was the driving force for wanting to play that character.. He's a draw, and whether anyone likes it or not Gambit probably won't move forward without him.

So Channing Tatum dropped out of The Gambit flick. I can only imagine that to be a major set back for that movie. Yeah I heard the news and all I thought was Though I've never been a big fan of Marvel films (with the exception of GotG, Iron Man, but only the 1st one & Daredevil) I'm so glad about this. Tatum wouldn't have made people watch this, just remember the bomb that was Jupiter Rising. Though I am looking forward to Deadpool & hopefully Dr. Strange could be alright, but the Avengers stuff I really don't care for, especially with people that I'm not big fans of like Evans & Johansson. Other people can like them, but they've never been worth my time or money.

I recall demanding, i thought it was brilliant and one of Marvel's top five efforts. What's your other four? Cap 2 Avengers 1 Guardians Daredevil Iron Man In that order.

Cap 2 Avengers 1 Guardians Daredevil Iron Man In that order. I'm with you on that except I'd switch Daredevil and Iron Man

I was never fully on board with Gambit being a standalone flick; I'd rather see him get a big part in the next X-Men film, he could replace what Cyclops was with Cyclops now taking what was Wolverine's spot as leader/main charcter

Tatum being out on Gambit is ing awesome news. Bring back Taylor Kitsch. Doesn't have to be in a stand alone capacity but just insert him into the end credits of Apocalypse and feature him in the next X-Men film. Holy sh*t, this is phenomenal news.

I like the Gambit character. But I still think he should have been introduced in XM:A as opposed to getting his own solo flick to start off.
I'm with AF on this, Reedus or Holloway would be ideal. But If they they can't get them, then just go and try to get Taylor Kitsch back. Though W:O sucked hard, he wasn't bad as Gambit.

Gambit has never striked me as a big enough character to have his own film. Put him in the next Xmen movie.

You guys should probably prepare yourselves for no Gambit.. If Tatum does indeed walk away from this they're not gonna bring in someone else.. Odds are the movie will go into development and be forgotten.
We won't get a Gambit in any capacity for 4-5 years, if at all..

Correct me if I'm wrong but without him tied into his own film wouldn't it be easier to write him into an X-men movie? Just a thought.

I thought even with Tatum attached that writing him into another X-Men movie was the way to go.. It would be much easier, but who knows when that could happen.. After Apocalypse I don't think Fox has anything other than the 3rd Wolverine movie planned. They're talking about a Fantastic Four/X-Men crossover.. But that would be a disaster.

"Oh, it doesn't look that bad!" I promise you, it is.

I'd be fine with no Gambit movie. I'd rather that, than have an awful one with someone who is wrong for the part.
