Would you have heard and woke up if your door had been opened and closed if someone came into your room to take the glasses?

I've seen a few things I honestly can't explain. I'm not gonna say I believe in the paranormal, but I'm not gonna say that's stupid either.
In your case OP, you should probably move before you're killed by a pissed off paranormal entity.

I found my cig pack and lighter had moved from my jeans pocket to my desk, I video taped myself and found I used to smoke in my sleep which scared me. I could have burned down my house and never even know it. Id usually smoke 2 cigs in my sleep. Thank god I stopped smoking.

As someone who has investigated and experienced many aspects of the paranormal realm, I can tell you that hauntings, especially ones in which objects are actually moved a significant distance, are extremely rare. The abundance of ghost shows around in the past few years have done a real disservice to true hauntings. They just don't happen as often as one would be led to think based on such shows and films. Yes, there are spirits or spirit energy all around us and yes, a real, honest to goodness haunting does happen sometimes, just rarely.
You could easily be sleepwalking. Lots of people do that and it's not always a chronic thing (ie not every night or for years on end). Often, things like stress, big life changes, fluctuations in health, or a host of other aspects can cause a person to sleepwalk from time to time. And people can do some really weird things while sleepwalking. Opening doors (even locked ones) is common. So is moving things. Heck, I've talked with a man who would actually get dressed, leave the house, and take a walk around the block all in his sleep. Just saying that it's not at all out of the realm of possibility that you did move the glasses while sleepwalking. And you probably wouldn't remember. Sleepwalkers rarely do remember what they've done and often end up sleepwalking right back into bed.
The TV turning on and off is something I've experience in a genuine haunting a couple times. However, it's also something I've experience far more often when it can easily be explained by faulty/glitchy wiring on the outlet or outlets.
It's certainly possible that you have a mischievous spirit at work, just not likely. If it is a spirit, there's usually nothing to worry about. Most haunting are completely harmless. Maybe a little annoying at times, but not dangerous. As rare as a true haunting is, it's ten times rarer to find one with an evil or dangerous spirit involved.
It's most likely that what you're experiencing is simple human happenstance and nothing paranormal or spirit related at all. That said, if you wanted to investigate a little more, by all means, have fun doing so. You don't need to be a professional or have loads of fancy equipment to do a little light investigating into strange happenings. If you have or can afford a basic video camera or audio recorder, those are the best tools anyone could use. Barring those, a simple pen and paper to write down what you experience and when (including dates and times) can do wonders in helping to notice patterns.
Bottom line is not to worry too much about it. Sleepwalkers rarely do potentially harmful things and spirits are very rarely dangerous.

Do people really believe in paranormal stuff? I mean sure it's fascinating but I find it irritating that whenever there is something that can't be explained (yet) people blame it on God, ghosts or other paranormal stuff.

It's not so much as a belief for me. I've seen things that simply can't be explained by conventional means to the point that paranormal happenings are a fact, not a belief. That said, for every 100 people who claim to experience something like a haunting, what's happening to 95 of those people can be very easily explained. Throw out another three that can be explained with a little digging or investigating. Of the two that remain, one of them is usually something a little more on the outside of normal, but still explainable by worldly means. That leave only one that's a genuine haunting of some sort. It's very rare, but it does happen.
I'll one hundred percent agree that far too many people jump to the paranormal as an explanation before ruling out other reasons. However, that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist at all.

Do people really believe in paranormal stuff? I mean sure it's fascinating but I find it irritating that whenever there is something that can't be explained (yet) people blame it on God, ghosts or other paranormal stuff. I am a firm beliver in paranormal phenomenon. When I was younger, I would have visions. Stay with me here. It hasn't happened in like 15 or 18 years since, but I would have visions in my sleep. I kept seeing this man. He was bald, and screamed alot, and his body would spit gold shards and he breathed smoke. He had a really big gold belt buckle. For many nights I would dream of him ripping through people. It was horrifying. Until one night, I dreamt of a man much bigger. A gang member of sorts. He wore all red, and had a locks of golden brown and a beard of silver and brown. He was a entity straight from A movie. He would enthuse fear in his victims with his gang, and he would spray black mist in letters on his victims. One night, I had a vision of this giant red devil hurting this other Bald god... Suddenly, before all this nightmare was over, My vision saw another man. In normal clothing, emit electricity from his fingers, and the bald man was out, and the giant stole the bald mans gold belt buckle.... I violently awoke, and immediatly wrote a letter, and it went like this: Dear Goldberg, I think Kevin Nash is going to beat you for the WCW World Title. Be careful. P.S. YOU'RE NEXT love, nWo

So this just happened to me about an hour ago, and I don't know how it happened, because I am like 100% sure I didn't do this. I fell asleep at 3 am and woke up at 5:45 am and I had to use the bathroom. I wear glasses so I reached over to where they should have been but they weren't there. So I thought "maybe they fell on the floor somehow" so I turned on the light and looked but couldn't see them. Plus being that my eyes aren't the best without them, it was even harder to tell if they were there or not. But it didn't matter, I had to pee badly so I was going to the bathroom. I am lucky that my bathroom is right across from my room, so I didn't have to walk blindly too far. I got in there and I looked at the bathroom counter and my glasses were sitting on top of it. Now that makes no sense as to how they got there. For one, if I did happen to get up before 5:45 am, I can't see why I would take my glasses off and leave them there, and walk back without them. Secondly, there is no way I did get up because I had to pee so bad that I know I was asleep that whole time. Thirdly, I sleep with my bedroom door closed. I would have had to gotten up and opened it and closed it again. So now, my theory is that my place is haunted. I have had some other weird stuff happen at night while I was sleeping (ex. TV turning off or on when it wasn't off or on, same with my Christmas lights around my room, etc.) and I always just figured that I am doing that stuff in my sleep. But I think it may be a ghost now. And if I am doing this stuff in my sleep, that is kind of scary because I don't remember doing it, and what if I do something really severe in my sleep?? But back to my original reason for writing this, has anyone else encountered this kind of stuff?? Like stuff going missing while you sleep?? Or lights being turned on or off while you sleep with no explanation as to why or how?? Weird for sure man.......that's some freaky sh*t!!

Dude...just Get over the fact that you refuse to accept the possibility that you set them down and forgot about it. I do it all the time.
Unless your sh** is haunted..
I wanna be haunted ...but by the ghost that haunted Ray in the first Ghostbusters film...

I wish there was (a really nice and not creepy) spirit/ghost at my house. I don't believe in that kind of stuff but there has been times which definitely made me think of reconsidering. Anywho, my guess is you were sleepwalking and maybe went to the bathroom in your sleep. Was the water on your nightstand empty? If so, you might have went to the bathroom and left your glasses there and then fallen back asleep.
IDK man. Weird shit.

I'd like to start this off with saying, I'm on the fence about ghosts. But...
Several years ago when we lived in this apartment I was sleeping in bed alone. My wife was sleeping on the couch for some reason. And my son was in his crib. I woke up at some point during the night because I had to pee. I laid there for a moment with my eyes closed trying to fight the urge. The second I opened my eyes, my whole bed lifted up. It was as if someone was sitting in the corner by the foot of the bed and they got up when I awoke. I walked out and my wife was out cold. Son wasn't old enough to get up and be in there. So... I dunno.
