WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka underwent surgery to remove part of his stomach and lymph nodes after being diagnosed with stomach cancer, his wife, Carole, revealed in an interview with journalist Bill Apter on Sunday.
"The doctors said he did very well. They're very happy with the outcome," Carole Snuka said. "He still has a long road ahead of him, and the doctor says he's an amazingly strong man. We all know how strong Jimmy is, and Jimmy can take a beating. ... He also wants to let his fans know that he's not done yet."
She also said doctors believe they removed all of the cancer from his stomach. He was released from the hospital July 31.
Snuka, 72, has been through numerous health issues in recent years. Wrestling fans helped him cover part of the $24,000 cost of an ankle surgery in 2011, a campaign started by former WWE Diva Dawn Marie. At the time of the surgery, Snuka was having trouble so much as walking—largely due to damage suffered during his decades in the ring.

I didn't think he was in his seventies yet, but I always thought he looked old and beat up for his age.
Glad the surgery went well and all hopes toward a successful removal of the cancer.

Innocent until proven guilty. I guess we will see what happens if the Grand Jury decides to revisit and or reopen the case.

Are people actually extending sympy to a murderer? Well it's not like he was secretly recorded saying the "N" word or anything like that..

We've lost to many legends this year. Hope Jimmy Snuka is doing well and can beat cancer. Just like the late Roddy Piper did almost a decade ago.

I hope he pulls through so I can continue to hate him. It wouldn't feel right to dislike someone who is suffering... So pull through, and fight, and I will root for you. But rest assured, the second you are 100% its right back to you Snuka!

I know someone who died from stomach cancer. It's a very horrible miserable thing.
The survival rate is single digits.

Not that any cancer is good, but stomach cancer is one of the worst. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. And heads up if anyone turns this thread into a "Snuka is a murderer/hope he **insert here**" massive spam fight thread you're getting a warning bar from me or JokerFC. Regardless of what your opinion on the matter is, this thread is for discussing the specific topic at hand, not what Snuka may or may have not done in the past. This IS your warning.

My friends father had it......and when he passed it was a relief to all. The man was GREY with pain. As in Picard as a borg grey. It was effin awful!!

I'm sure the family of the woman he may or may not have murdered will be relieved to know that he will get to continue living.
