I will buy anything King of the Ring and up for Owen.
I think there are three "must makes" before they venture off into the other attires/eras of his career.
1) King of Harts. This is his defining career period and it hosts some of his absolute best attires. 2) '97 Hart Foundation. Short hair, alliance to Bret, Slammy-Award Winning...very important time, lots of cool accessory opportunities. 3) Nation of Danger. I actually do not like this look whatsoever (orange/blue black hart was more aesthetically appealing), but this was his main look for a great while. He introduced the silver OH attire shortly before his death.
If they ever do Owen, I highly doubt they'll ever do Blue Blazer. But surely an all pink KOTR rocket would be next, the aforementioned Black Hart look post-Hart Foundation, one of his earlier attires before the King of Harts feud...Owen's definitely got quite a few looks to go over.

There would be only 2 versions of Owen I'd get, that being his '94 King of Harts attire & his '97 Hart Foundation attire. Maybe either his KOTR '94 pink attire or Wrestlemania X attire (though that's a bit of a stretch for me), but having a whole set is just overkill & I'm a really big fan of Owen.

Honestly, I probably wouldnt buy any figure of his. Nothing against the guy, just was only watching wcw from when i started in 96 Ah man, you missed out there. I always get shot down in flames for saying this, but Owen was a better wrestler than Bret. Bret was incredible, don't get me wrong, but Owen was better. You're not the only one, it's crossed my mind plenty of times, especially watching his matches against Bret and others but I just leave that subject alone when it arises...

If his actual family wasn't on board I wouldn't. I couldn't imagine how strange and hurtful it would be just shopping at a store and seeing your loved one's likeness on a store peg put out by a company who had a hand in their death....too heavy and I wouldn't feel right. If the family was on board I wouldn't feel as bad. Also Owen was the first wrestler death I was around for as a fan...and in 6th grade it hurt and bothered me for weeks.

I'd take King of Harts, Blue Blazer, and even a NOD; but not a whole set of 6. That's too many at one time.

As history has shown, once Mattel finally gets the rights, you can expect this to be the first one done. Expect Slammy Owen to come in about 2 years after the fact. That'd be halarious if Mattel released this KoKo B. Ware first.

Why would they do that?
If they got Owen they could use him sparingly and then get everyone excited when a new one is announced. Releasing 6 figures right off the bat is a terrible idea.

Owen is probably my most wanted Mattel figure - but a whole case of him is a bit much, lol. Ideally I'd like: - a King Of Harts Flashback Owen (with long hair, shades, Euro/Tag/IC belt) - a '97 (Hart Foundation) Defining Moments Owen (short hair, jacket, shades, slammys) After those two, they can do whatever...

If Owen Hart did get made, you can bet your ass that there would NEVER be a Blue Blazer figure. There would never be a New Foundation, High Energy, or Owen in the baby blue tights from 1993 either. You would get Owen in the black singlet, black (maybe pink) knee pads and the black boots with the lightning bolt on the side. This. Can't imagine the fall reenactment videos some heartless wackos would put on youtube if a Blue Blazer figure got made...will never never happen. I would like to see a Pink and Black King of Harts attire Owen with slammy accesories. That would be ideal for me.

Yes and no. Yes because I've always wanted an Owen elite figure but I wouldn't think an entire wave of Owen Harts would be feasible. Maybe have a few basics and elites, maybe an RSC exclusive (King of Harts or Slammy winner), but not an entire wave dedicated to him. Even if/when Mattel gets to make an Owen figure, they wouldn't do an elite wave of nothing but Owen, even if the demand is high.
