Think about the many more title matches they had over said talents in 2002-2007 But...they didn't. Those guys all had way more title matches than the likes of Cade, Murdoch, the Bashams and those others you mentioned.

Talents who should of had more T.V Time/Underrated/Needed a Title/etc? - Ultimo Dragon Shelton Benjamin Marcus Cor Von Elijah Burke Serena Kenny Dykstra Krissy Vaine Lance Storm Trinity Drew McIntyre Joy Giovanni Zach Gowen - He could of been huge Charlie Haas Jillian Hall Gregory Helms Christy Hemme Stacy Keibler - They Chose Torrie over her almost every time The Brian Kendrick Gail Kim Evan Bourne DJ Gabriel Justin Gabriel Emma Stevie Richards Nunzio Ariel Maxine Jacqueline Chris Masters Luna Vachon Roddy Piper Tiffany Katie Lea Burchill Lena Yada Jimmy Wang Yang
... From this list you made, I agree with some. Here are the ones I disagree with Marcus Cor Von - I wouldn't really count him since he left on his own will before he could do anything on TV Serena - She messed up by getting in trouble during the Straight Edge Society angle. She is the best female worker you listed here. Kenny - Turned out to not really be very good. Krissy - Nope Lance Storm - He did fine for a guy with almost no charisma. Trinity - She was pretty useless. Managed for a bit and got the right amount of time. Joy - Nothing more than a valet. I personally would have liked to see more of her but she wasn't underrated at all. Zach Gowen - I believe he messed up by being a dick backstage Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin - Both guys got the right amount of shine for their ability. Jillian - Was solid but nothing special Gregory Helms - As Helms, had no charisma. As Hurricane did fine. Christy - How? She couldn't wrestle and made a ton of money for no reason. Stacy - Her and Torrie were the same. All looks no work. They both got tons of TV time though so no reason to list them Kendrick - Loved him but he couldn't stop smoking weed Evan Bourne - He couldn't stop smoking either DJ Gabriel - Seriously? Nope. Emma - Is being used fine right now Ariel - Useless Maxine - While with WWE she wasn't very good, but as Catrina she's found something that worked. Jacqueline - Terrible Luna - She got a fair amount of TV time and was around when there wasn't really a women's division Piper - Seriously? He was one of the biggest stars in history and the Joker to Hogan's Batman. Come on. Tiffany - Similar to Maxine. Wasn't good with WWE but got better later. Also, the issue with McIntyre didnt help. Lena - Useless Wang Yang - Was fine in his role

Well it depends on each circumstance. A lot of the time these guys didn't have an opportunity to do more. There was never really any point in time where someone like Piper or Goldust could have had a meaningful title run. So it's unrealistic.
However saying something like: Owen Hart should have had Bob Backlund's title reign. Curt Hennig or Earthquake should have had SGT Slaughter's title reign. etc
Is different. Because Backlund and Slaughter should have been NO WHERE NEAR the title picture in 95 and 91 respectively.
I'd also argue that Billy Gunn should have got Vince's title win instead, because Vince winning the title is just as bad as David Arquette.

Lena - Useless I agree with the ones I got rid off but Serena - Why what happened to her? Krissy Vaine - Is a decent wrestler she should have been used better Joy - She had been doing training with Daniel Puder and Big Show I heard she was pretty decent Zach - Again what happened? Agree with Haas but not with Benjamin Jillian - Suppose but if they kept the singing gimmick but made it less than what it was she would of been fine Gregory - I was supposed to write Hurricane Christy - Had been doing tons of training had improved tons and was pretty popular Stacy - Wasn't that terrible Kendrick & Bourne - Fair Enough DJ Gabriel - If he'd dropped the dumb gimmick and trained more he would of been at least half decent Ariel - She was perfect with her gimmick and was a half decent wrestler Maxine - They needed a gimmick for her and she needed a little more training and she would of been fine Jacqueline - Fair enough but she good wrestle Luna - When Sable had the title Luna was supposed to win but Sable would do things like forget her belt etc. Piper - Again my fault I was going to write about a World Title win Tiffany - She was okay Lena - She used to do tons of sports and I would of liked to see her wrestle one on one

Serena - I believe it was something alcohol related. Especially bad since she was portraying a straight edge character Krissy - Decent doesn't mean you need to be given more TV time Joy - No Zach - I just read that he was an ass backstage. I believe he also no-showed events Benjamin - Had a midcard ceiling. I liked the guy but his IC Title was the best he could probably do Hurricane - Did fine as the Hurricane. You could never be World Champ with that gimmick but he moved merch and got loads of TV time. And he beat the Rock Christy - Didn't really improve until TNA and even then, wasn't very good. Overpaid too Stacy - Couldn't work and she knew it. Still, she got tons to do so she was fine Ariel - She sucked. Always. Maxine - Meh Jacqueline - Never thought she was good. Plus, she was terribly bland. Nobody cared about her. Luna - She shouldn't have won the Women's Title in 1998 Tiffany - She sucked in WWE Lena - Meh

I think they trusted him too much giving him the top title only a few months after a drug suspension. They wanted to push him and everytime the chance came, he would get himself in trouble. And this is coming from a guy who got into wrestling because of Jeff and he is my all time favorite.

I've always said this, I dont get why people always need "their guy" to be world champion. There's plenty of guys who became legends in the business without winning the big one, and it makes no sense to have all of the good wrestlers in the main event scene and then the rest milling around the mid-card etc

Im afraid not everyone can be on top. At the moment Adam Rose and Fandango are the ones who are right down the card.

The OP is right when he says that there are only so many spots. But when the WWE give us no reason what so ever to care about the midcard for over a decade now I can see why so mahy underutilized stars get so much support. Being an IC Champ 20 years ago was huge. Today it means nothing. If the WWE made the midcard mean something instead of just putting a midcard title on Cena and having him run through all the lower card guys there would be more spots for these guys to make a name for themselves. Instead the WWE has created a culture of "main event or bust" and have lessened the spots available, thus making the list of "guys who deserved better" much longer.

She was useless.

I agree however I don't think guys should shoot up to the top right away. Watching him in Lucha and the end of hisnwwe career wrestle mania 29 & on he tried knocking the chip off his shoulder. He is talented just thought they could've furthered established the belt with top stars with decorated veteran careers.

I never saw anything in Stevie Richards. Yeah he was brilliant in ECW and played leader of the RTC solidly, but I can't understand the frustration among select fans that he never made it "big"..
I think us full time fans sometimes get the illusion that the characters we grow to love on screen translate in the same way to all viewers as they do to ourselves. Sometimes that's just not the case.
Just because he's loved by the hardcores for his ECW tenure doesn't nessecarilly mean he would have translated as a solid standalone wrestler. Regardless of wether people think he deserved more than where on the card he was positioned, in the tail end of the "Attitude Era", Stevie Richards peaked. And he did so with grace.
Let's also not forget how injury prone he was, too. Before we start listing injury prone main eventers, consider that perhaps their look and ability was worth WWE taking the chance on. Richards looked impressive near the end of his run, but he's no Batista.
Is Richards a better performer than Batista? Most probably yes. But remember what I just said about the differences of informative hardcore fans and sporadic viewers. Unless you have extensive knowledge of the bWo, Richards never visually translated as a superstar on TV.
WWEs fault? Most probably yeah, but imagine if they pushed Richards back then instead of pushing RVD/Jericho/Christian/Edge/Hardyz/Eddie/Benoit etc? There's only so many spots on TV.. We would be having this same discussion about those guys and it would hold a lot more water.
Let's face it. We can all cope without a Stevie Richards WHC run.

You see, I normally wouldn't mind people who should be in the main event being in the midcard, but the midcard means jacksh*t nowadays.
I wouldn't have a problem with guys like Barrett competing for the IC Title, if the IC Title meant anything. But it doesn't. It hasn't meant anything since 2005.
There's a reason why people want "their guy" to be in the main event. It's because anything else doesn't really matter in the WWE, nowadays.

To hell with all the haters, 1999, King Ass shouldn't have been fed to The Rock at SummerSlam (that was horsesh*t, Rock didn't need the rub), he should've been in a Fatal Four Way Main Event against Austin, HHH and Mankind, where he should have won the sum bitch.
Talk about SHOCK value nobody would've seen it coming.
