I was just informed that Mattel decided to mold and paint it like the hardcore belt, rather than doing plates and VUM.....
WTF IS UP WITH THAT?!?
The molded plates are also smaller than the scratch logo one we've been getting.
If this is the new direction they're going with I'm gonna be pissed

Was disappointed when I heard this as well. Was on the fence about the new Brock figure because I wanted the belt. This made it a no buy. I'll wait for the Seth and hope it's different. In Bill's SDCC interview he did talk about cost cutting. Would suck if this is what they decided on.

Ah, now it makes sense. I thought the belt looked pretty "flat" with little shine to it. Now I know why. Shame really.

Another example of the quality of product going down while prices continue to go up. It's things like this that are making it easy to walk away.
I don't think they would have spent money molding it if they didn't intend to use it going forward. If the Big Book Seth Rollins has it too that will be the answer.

MattelDesignTeamWhy would you do this? Is it a cost cutting measure, or is it because the new one with actual plates and VUM was not ready? If we don't get one with plates, I really think that's a bad move... Could have eliminated Stephs signs, and Seths Cinderblocks if you needed the budget..

Big book Seth appears to have the same exact belt. This belt looks like they just took the one from the CAW playset and painted it.. It's that same mold that is meant for cheap figures. Usually we get the better version with elites but apparently not this time... |

I was looking at the rollins figure (which I'm still excited to get), but it looks to be the same belt that comes with lesnar. I rarely ever get disappointed with the mattel product. But this is a shame on their part with this belt. I have a feeling Lesnar will warm for awhile in most stores now.

I did not know this until I opened this thread that sucks. Must be more cost-cutting, yet increasing prices. No wonder so many guys on here are stopping collecting and selling off. |

It's the same belt that comes with this playset, simply painted differently.
These are made CHEAP, for low budget figures and playsets so they can have a low price point... Also made for basics like the Kmart champion figures
These are NOT supposed to be made for Elite High Quality Collectors figures...
I really feel cheated on this

I had a feeling that the belt will be like that ever since I saw the pictures of Brock at SDCC it looked one piece of rubber with molded plates, I kind of hope this is like a place holder I till they can make one the has plastic plates and a rubber strap. This will not stop me from collecting though but hope the belt will be change. Does it fit Brock though or not?

what kills me , is they have the base for the network belt from E22 Rock , all they had to do is mold a new front plate with the network logo and wham you have your elite belt, but they went extra cheap and just painted the basic belt elite style.
