I hear that Matty Collector wants back in the WWE market but does anyone knows what are their actual plans (if any). Old Matty used to have exclusive figures and stands but the demand wasn't there for various reasons? Could a return to exclusives work this time up? Or re-release fan fave elites like Kevin Nash or King Booker? Suckas wants to know.

Ya I heard that. It will be interesting to see what they do on there.

Hopefully some exclusives
What about if they did 3/4 elites a year like Ringside?
I'd be down (hope they started weighing packages since last time; charging their shipping prices was criminal)

I didn't hear about that and honestly I doubt it would work or last. It would be the same issues as before. There were only a few of us who ordered the monthly Legends offers the first time. Most people b!tched because... 1. The cost of the figure was to high. 2. Shipping was to high. 3. A combination of both and passed on them because of it.
And honestly if they aren't Legends being offered on the site I would pass on them. There might be three modern guys I would be willing to buy online.

Is there any official word that this is backed up by Mattel or is it hearsay?

If they still use Digital River for shipping I hope they never do another thing with the WWE line on there.

Is there any official word that this is backed up by Mattel or is it hearsay? Matty Collector flashed a big WWE logo and briefly touched on how they are doing work going foward with the WWE line during their SDCC presentation. No word from Mattel yet on what type of product will be distributed through Matty Collector

I hope some Legends/Flashbacks. If they are given remit to fk people over again, then I will stop collecting matte on pure principle. UPS turned up at my door with a castle greyskull and a big bill. I asked them how they calculated the tax and fee., they blamed the sender. Sure enough the sender had calculated the value wrong and I was being taxed at an fx rate not seen since the 1970's. I let them return it. Also, the hoverboard i ordered with the pre order was sold elsewhere because they cant "hold something until the rest of the order comes into stock". What a shyteshow. A re released Nash would be nice. Other guys I wouldn't be crazy about as the rest of the Elites produced are mass produced. This probably failed as they were exclusive and the site charged some unnecessary shipping. They are popular on the secondary market now though. I see no point in doing this with Flashbacks and HOF. Miss Elizabeth didn't get a her matty collector release in the end, she was placed into Elite 19 instead. I think that was the sign the line didn't do well for matty collector.

They also were better to buy on the secondary market. I've seen Bundy MOC for £20 on eBay and The Rockers were once £15 on Amazon.

I think it could work but they would have to pump out some really good figures for people to commit to buy from them.

I hope they bring back the legends line on Matty, that way we could get some non hall of fame and obscure legends like Rick Rude, one man gang etc. if they adopt the current motuc and thundercats model of 6 figures bi monthly with a sub exclusive that would be fantastic.

I would like them to. When it comes down to it, I'm ok with what they charge if its for a figure that I want. I prefer these online exclusives because I feel I have a much better chance at getting it. I am not a fan at all of 'the hunt' anymore.

As PJ said, I imagine the same complaints would make it flop again. I loved the MattyCollector legends line. The prices and shipping were great compared to the prices we had to pay in the UK to get the earlier Legends figures. I still passed on half the MattyCollector range though because I had no interest in Bundy, Arn or Tully.
