I think I'll get that package deal, with the ring and the cage, but it'll be a few weeks.

And the cage seems to short ? only 10" still looks pretty sweet overall but nothing can ever beat the Jakks version with cloth turnbuckles and padding ring cover . Does anyone know if they will ever sell the red ring clips separate ? thanks The cloth turnbuckles looked ridiculous on the JAKKS ring. Those rubber chip clip pad things ? Correct me if Im wrong but in real life arent they cloth and if you properly stuff them the Jakks cloth look amazing and oh so realistic brother ! but to each his own and how the heck is George the animal gonna chew one of those rubber chip clip pad things and over time I expect them to possibly harden , dry and crumbled ?. I also dont like the black foot posts and as others have mentioned the door looks really small but its great WCT brought back a Classic 80s Ring

The white spots in the R & A are so glaring. Its like the white spot on the Money in the Bank brief case. Are they definitely on the real deal? In the pic, the R looks normal, but still, what Summerslam had red and white outlined letters? It's usually an orange with red outline. The white boxes inside the R and A.

Can a ballsy collector who has the ESR try this on? Or, if you're not that ballsy, but have both the ESR and the ASR, that'll work too. With some pics as evidence to show if it does or doesn't!!!!!!

LIL SAD that the summerslam logo is not the correct color as used from 1988-1997 (besides the added 88 in 1988) that was my favorite ppv logo, and most of my favorite memories as a young WWF UNIVERSE FAN are from awesome SummerSlam moments like the mega bucks vs mega powers, macho king and Zeus vs Brutus & Hulk, "earthquake made a big mistake" and not knocked over the breakable table!, bret vs perfect, LOD finally getting their gold, harts vs Demo 2 out of 3, rockers & tito vs rougeaus & martel, euro 92 w/ bret vs davey & warrior vs savage and my most favorite Hunter vs Foley bret vs taker owen vs austin shamrock vs bulldog pillman vs dustin lil partial since i was there in 1997 and one hour after it ended vince and jr were walkin back to the curtain vince pointed at my sign and said " damn right" it simply said WWF RULES WCW SUCKS! simple words from a 13yr old..!
anywho i really cant explain how much i wish that the correct colors were used on that SUMMERSLAM LOGO.. plus WM2 is the worst choice although i understand since it had the steel cage in main even hogan/bundy.. and one of the last times they used the RED connectors which then were switched to blue..
the door was always a lil small when walking thru but not that small.. to be fair, the cage should have been made 15 inches tall not 10, since it was 15 feet high and most wrestlers were about 6 feet tall and most figures are about 6 inches tall 5.10 - 6.6 ish..
it still is awesome, i prob sound too negative.. it just is due to the fact that this item was an extreme want of mine and something i used to dream having when i played with my hasbros as a kid ..

I agree with your sentiment, I hope WCT does a version 2 that looks like the one used at Summerslam 90 and onward (w/ blue steel steps, correct apron and maybe fuschia Rumble or In Your House aprons). This one just feels like a Jakks holdover, I mean I can't remember a time that style cage was used besides Wrestlemania 2.

Nah your pretty dead on with the cage scale flaw Im mean the cage is 10" and Andre is 7 plus inches doesnt make much sense

Look at Andre here: If he was stood completely upright, he would'nt be that far from the top of the cage, honestly.

The cage itself has NEVER been 15 feet, that's a great proportions post with the Andre pic for factual evidence above! The cage plus the amount the apron is from the floor essentially was what added up to "15 feet" (if that was even the true overall height and NOT exaggerated like billed heights/weights and many other hyperbolic wrestling claims via kayfabe + hyped up promotion). THEREFORE, a 10 inch cage accessory is going to stand higher than 10 inches, not a TOTAL of 10 inches--that's just the dimensions of the accessory itself--it'll be a little bit higher when factoring in that the ring base is lifted just like in real life, and I have ALWAYS noticed the wrestlers never seemed that small compared to where the top of the cage was, as dePICted by Jamie F! Ya gotta account for how high up the ring is PLUS the cage to equal that "grand" total of fifteen feet, and who knows if that's just one of the many exaggerations of kayfabe wrestling too, as aforementioned..."how high is a ring mat from the floor?" is my question, and then how tall {ACTUALLY} is a blue steel cage...Hogan and plenty others never appeared dwarfed from my view of the tv screen (just like the Mattel likenesses of each character won't be inside of this WCT classic cage), thus I think WCT got it pretty close in figure form / size scale too, basically. They may not have NAILED it, but I think they went by how it SHOULD look theoretically speaking. It seems like when someone compares a 6 inch figure to a 10 inch cage, when real life average 6 plus feet tall wrestlers were inside a "15 feet high" real life (classic style) cage, that they're making the often-made error of not accounting for the height of the ring from the floor in real life too. Whenever they say fifteen feet high, that's in total accumulation, NOT the size of the cage ITSELF (elsewise, they'd say 19 feet high, fifteen for cage and four for ring, assuming the apron of the ring is four feet off the floor just as a hypothetical example--I'm not sure of the TRUE dimensions there, but just for the sake of argument)...it takes into account floor to top of cage, so ya GOTTA include ring height too...i don't believe they've EVER meant 15 for the cage, but many fans always took it / understood it to mean that, which is where the whole confusion comes in. Watch any classic cage match and you'll see what Jamie F & myself mean. So anywhoooo, however many inches an ASR sits on a shelf or coffee table PLUS the 10 inch cage, with the wrestlers inside it, is how high the ring + cage will actually be--maybe they're a little closer to the top of it for some of them than ya'd like by a smidgen, albeit not by much--but say ya had a guy trying to interfere from the outside, that cage would seem pretty high by comparison of cage to figure outside of the ring! Again, I do agree that maybe they weren't PRECISELY on, but darn close if ya ask me! IMO 12" high would've been perfect for my needs as a backup and I probably would have bought one but 10" is a tad short but really Cool WCT did this as the Jakks WM2 RSR are becoming super rare brand new and probably command $400 brand New as I havent seen many in this year .
