Summerslam card is just them throwing stuff against the wall to see if something sticks. Essentially, the problem
with the whole direction - there is none. NXT has a card full of matches that (if you've been following the program) you are invested in because they've stayed the course and you care about the characters and where they are going. With Takeover you are tuning in to see how the story progresses, with Summerslam you are tuning in to see how they smoke and mirror their way through one more Taker/Lesnar encounter. So yeah....Takeover.

TakeOver looks better to me, but I don't know if it will be better than previous TakeOvers. I mean, I don't see Balor/Owens being better than it was at Beast in the East and I don't see Bayley/Sasha topping Becky/Sasha.

I think both will be good, but personally I'm more excited for NXT. Liger, Bayley/Banks, Owens/Balor, Joe, all with a NY crowd, c'mon.

I'm looking forward to both.
NXT has Owens and Balor in a ladder match, what should be an awesome women's match, and JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGER!
Summerslam has Undertaker vs. Brock, Owens vs. Cesaro, and many other matches that should be fun.
That said, Takeover is my vote. I love NXT.
Of course, neither is the best show being held in New York that weekend, as Field of Honor looks amazing. I'm just sad that NXT is likely cutting into the audience for that show. I hope it still does well enough.

I have tickets to Takeover and not Summerslam. Even if I didn't I'd still say NXT; the card has much more buildup overall.

Asking WFigs what's better.. NXT or anything else on the planet, no matter what it is.. you will only ever get one answer. I'm personally much more excited for SummerSlam. Credit to the NXT kids for selling out 13k. No small feat there. it's better than sex!! well not THAT better. |
