No if that's the case everything you buy is wasting money. Go out to eat? Why? Go to the food store and make it for half the price. Like going to the movies? Why? Save the gas and movie ticket prices and watch one on HBO. Everything comes with a price in life. If you have fun and enjoy it it's not really wasting money. Exactly!! |

I have that's why i've turned to just certain stars, I used to collect just Elites and wasted so much money but now i'm buying basics and trying to get older ones now.

I mean I'm 20 living in the projects in manhattan holding for rent by my self and other bills, working for clothing brands for years kinda eliminates me spending money on clothes, and i now work at a restaurant so food is mainly taken care of, so with my
Remaining money I often spend it all on wrestling figs, but for example I haven't been splurging on figures this month due to Christmas, but now that it's out the way I'll go ahead and splurge so long as my priorities are met

Collecting figures helped me kick my drug and alcohol problem. I was spending 5X more on that crap than I do on figures. And even tho I'm chasing the older DM line, and getting gouged on eBay, my health and my wallet are much better off. So I don't see it as a waste at all.

Okay so a long time member bumped this and nobody said anything but if a newbie does it they get hazed I see You guys have said nothing to a main eventer bumping a 4 month old thread Every time someone bumps you're the first to say "you're going to get hazed" and now you're upset because no one is hazing him?!?!? Relax!!! It's almost like you get a kick out of people getting "hazed" Just sit back, relax and let whatever happen, happen. |

I guess its all in relevance to what you make. I enjoy the hobby so I dont mind spending money on it. I also only buy what I want. I dont need every guy in every line. All in all I probably drop a grand a year on it and Im comfortable with that. Any more than that I may have to scale back.

sometimes I wrestle with such thoughts, but then I look at my collection and know it's worth collecting - look at all these gems Mattel keeps bringing out one just can not walk away from collecting IMO
