No current WrestleMania ringskirt 0/10 will not buy I still don't understand how the lack of a Wrestlemania ringskirt would change your decision on whether or not to buy a steel cage. Maybe if they had said it'd include the Mania skirt and they changed it, but that was never the case! If you want a Mania ringskirt so bad, go buy the Mania ring at TRU.

the price on this needs to be a little lower given the amount of stuff included with it only 20 pieces, the classic one has 47 pieces which is double the amount of this.

It was originally shown with one, dude. Black skirt with WrestleMania 31 logo. Otherwise, I wouldn't say anything about it. You think I just dreamed this up?

I never remember reading that the cage came with that ring skirt. How do we know it wasn't the Wrestlemania ring and the cage being displayed together?

The day they first posted about however long ago showed the two cages. The old school one was shown as it was sold. However, the modern cage was shown with the WrestleMania skirt and Red Extreme Rules apron. Then when it went up for preorder or whatever it was black extreme rules and ECW. They also said something about it ended up being the ECW skirt on a mailbag episode or the other thing they do. Long story short, I would've bought the cage to have the cage obviously but I was digging the red ER skirt and I had to have the current WM skirt. I've been halfway pissed about it since ECW skirt replaced it so I tend to take it a bit too serious

At the time the Classic Cage was going to come with a WrestleFest ring skirt, which was later changed to the Summer Slam ring skirt. The Modern cage was shown with a completely different Extreme Rules skirt which was updated in the final release, and was going to come with the bonus skirt as the Wrestlemania 31 ring skirt, it was also originally shown to come with red ropes and the new WWE Network logo turnbuckle pads. They changed the bonus skirt from Wrestlemania 31 skirt to the much cooler ECW skirt. They decided not to supply any ropes or turnbuckle pads. The Wrestlemania 31 skirt and WWE Network turnbuckle pads were instead being sold with the updated 2015 Authentic Scale Ring, dubbed the Wrestlemania Edition. Originally the cages were going to be both packaged with rings and without, later it was said the cages wouldn't be available without the ring. Then after an out cry from folks that had purchased rings in anticipation of the cages who called foul, the decision was over turned and now they are sold as accessory add ons with rings sold separately.

Yeah, but when they first showed the cages they were also originally going to be packed WITH THE RING. It's pretty obvious that they just split up the Wrestlemania ring from the cage and made it two releases when they did that. The ECW ring skirt as a bonus at RSC makes way more sense because it's more of a niche want. Wrestlemania makes sense to see retail release.

Or the whole situation just pushes people away, much like myself, who won't buy any of it now.

Yeah I wish it would have come with the Wrestlemania skirt too. The ECW one makes little to zero sense...someone else posted on here that, during the wwe version of ecw, there was only ever one cage match and it involved guys that we don't even have figures of...so yeah, it is pretty stupid. And it does feel cheap not having the turnbuckle pads and all that is included with the classic cage, especially since the price is the same
I'm also still pissed that they scrapped the Wrestlefest skirt too. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the summerslam skirt, but I think they could have included wrestlefest instead of WM 2. For those of us that have the Jakks blue cage, it's just too similar.
But I'll still be buying both, most likely lol

Got the 2 cages yesterday, the modern one is really cool. it's about an inch taller and darker than the Mattel cage pieces. The door is tall enough that the Undertaker can stand in the doorway with a bit of headroom.
Big Blue is about an inch smaller than the jakks version, but that's because it's scaled to Mattel figures, the top of the door is under the Undertaker's chin. the clips in the bottom corners are slightly different, for some reason they are articulated. I almost thought you could flip around the clip to make walls go around the outside, but no dice.
Right now, I have both cages on the ring at the same time, I pity the fool who falls in between them, lol.
