I don't know him personally, but he's sure given me years and years of wonderful memories. So, he's good in my book.

He seems like a really egotistical person (from non-kayfabe media interviews) and believes he's better than everyone because he has some money.

I find it weird how some of the top guys, Austin and Bret in particular, viewed him as a father figure.

I would say yes. I've heard stories on both ends where he's been good and bad to people. However, in regards to him being mean, what I've heard from others is that Vince likes to push people around to force them to stand up to him.
I heard one story where he was having some kind of meeting with the roster and he was walking around and Curtis Axel had his foot sticking out, so Vince kept purposely stepping on it. Curtis didn't say anything and finally Vince got mad and was like "I've been stepping on your foot this entire time. Why haven't you told me to stop yet?"
Plus Vince is a big fan of fart jokes and toilet humor. How could he not be a good guy?

Interesting interview Vince did with Howard Stern in 2001....
During the interview - Vince admits to cheating on Linda (& being forgiven)..... so it sounds like he was unfaithful, several times.....
Many of the wrestlers I've spoken with indicate that he's very cheap, or tight with money - I guess a good businessman would have to be that way.
I believe Vince is probably a very hard-working man, who pinches pennies, and is a little eccentric on a lot of things.... but in general, he probably tries to do the "right" thing more often than not.....
The Stern interview sheds a bit of light on his upbringing & backround...

He's clearly at least a little racist, very sexist, fueled by money, and has conservative values and a child's sense of humor. I'm gonna say no, not really.

I think he's an okay guy. There's certainly evidence of him being good and bad.
