So far Mattel has done 5 Hulk Hogan scans, and with the exception of the fantastic HOF head, my opinion is that the other 4 are pretty bad. Here is the list of Hogan's thus far with different headscans DM Hogan RSC Hogan Create a Superstar Hogan Hof Hogan Do any of them capture 84-85 Hogan well? This is what the American made scan was supposed to be mind you? Why was his hairline so far back? Thoughts on the goofy expression? Definitely not as good as the snarling Jakks CS head imo.     What about 1987 which the DM is based on? I think the hair is pretty solid for 1987, but the face looks nothing like Hogan.   Now they nailed 1993- imo   I'm quite interested to hear the rest of the boards thoughts on this scans and overall facial likenesses, of Mattel's Hulk outings. |

Idk why were discussing this when theres that abomination of a sculpt theyre trying to call Farooq coming soon.
DM, Am made, and CAW are spot on 80s Hogan. Jakks Hogan figures have s*** lips, are bulky, and out of date like Hogan

I think they all capture him very nicely. The only thing that I would say is wrong with them is the gap between hair and head when the headband is missing. Other than that I think they did a very nice job on them.

I switched my dm and rsc heads. I think each looks more like the other time period they are supposed to represent.
The e34 and hof heads are great I think

Jakks had a ttl HHH that trumps Mattel HHHs, but i have not been a fan of Jakks scans. |

HOF2 Hogan is probably my favorite figure of the year... Maybe Sting... Maybe RSC Michaels...

Also ive seen a lot of people think mattels look "cartoony" i think the opposite. Most Jakks look that way to me

I guess i just don't see Hulk's face on most of his Mattel scans. One issue though is the hair, all of them look like late 80's Hulk when he was losing all of his hair. I still want a mid 80's style Hogan with hair like that Sports Illustrated i posted.

I think the DM scan is great, only flaw imo is the wierd colored mustache. The HOF one I'm 50/50 on, I think the nose is a little too wide and the bandana makes him look like toad from Mario but other than that it's a good likeness. I think the problem that some Mattel scans have in general is the lack of good paint jobs (eyebrows are usually off centered, hair missing highlights, or just wrong colors for the hair.) They're good sculpts, but if you have a bad paint job it takes away from the overall look of the figure/likeness.

Yea I switched head bands too. The dm band fits pretty well on the rsc head, but one end of the rsc band is too big for the dm head. Can prolly be modified though |
