Im 50/50 on the Mcdonalds breakfast. Being able to get it all day doesnt seem appealing to me. There is something about the mornings that makes it nice and separates it from the rest of the day. I know I wouldnt want to buy a McMuffin at 5 pm.
I think McDonalds in general is popular because it's cheap, it's fast, it's convenient, and is consistent in taste. So when you wake up at 4 am and go to work not many places are open at 5 to 10 am. After 10 though almost every restaurant is open for lunch. I'll pick up a McMuffin at 6 am because my options are limited, but for lunch and dinner there are lots more options.
The last time I got McDonalds breakfast I wanted a Bacon biscuit with cheese. I paid almost 4 dollars for a biscuit with half a slice of bacon and a slice of cheese. The Sausage Biscuit though costs about 1.50 with cheese. Add Bacon and it costs about 2 dollars. It just makes no sense that I can get that, throw the sausage away and it'll cost less than just ordering what I wanted.

I've only had McDonalds breakfast once which was at least 10 years ago. It wasn't anything special so I never went back.
