Considering it's televised it's an opportunity. They can pay Brock the exact same to kill Big Show, or make a star out of somebody like Cesaro or Ambrose. Don't be silly. Brock's not doing squash matches on glorified house shows for the same money as epic PPV matches where he takes tons of bumps and bleeds. Clearly he's not getting paid as much as he would for SummerSlam or WrestleMania, but it's not like he's gets a bonus per bump he takes. A 10-15 minute match where he eats a few uppercuts and maybe a Neutralizer before winning really wouldn't be asking too much.

Actually Lesnar vs Bo really should have been the way to go. Squash match? Sure.....but there could have been a rub in it for Bo. Imagine Bo keeps trying to get at Lesnar, time and again, being no more than a nuisance to Brock. Perhaps even eventually costing Brock a match (maybe even this one vs Show) via countout or something. Eventually Brock gets annoyed/pissed enough to grant Bo a match........leading to all kinds of ridiculous promos from Dallas truly Bo-lieving he can defeat Lesnar. Match happens, Suplex City, F5, Brock wins.....Bo becomes despondant. His future TV appearances are that of a depressed non Bo-Lieving Dallas. Losses continue to mount until he discovers his aggressive side. He starts aggressively targeting larger, Brock like , characters. Say Reigns for example. No more smiles, no more inspirational talks.....after he connives a victory over a top guy like Reigns, he immediately starts parading around the ring, smile creeping back on his face, grabs the mic on the way out and says "i told you......all you have to do is BO-lieve!!!" . Turns out Dallas swerved everyone with the aggressive, quite possibly more popular Bo, and the whole thing was just to get to the main event scene. I'm no booker, but i think Bo would be over enough to stay in the upper mid card mix from this.....all due to Brock initially giving him the rub to even appear important enough to give him one match.

Brock Lesnar works squash matches on glorified house shows for less money than he charges for real matches on PPV. That is what makes these appearances viable. If you'd be happy with Cesaro at MSG playing the role that Kofi Kingston played at Beast in the East, that's cool. But lots of people would complain complain complain repeat if that happened. And if you wouldn't be happy with Cesaro in that role, it's silly to suggest him as the opponent for this show.

WWE just loves giving us matches that we've seen 50 times. I hope for the MSG crowd's sake that Lesnar gives a better effort than he did during Beast in the East.

I'm honestly completely baffled as to why they have gone with this. I could understand the fact that they are in Madison Square Garden and it might come across as an attraction seeing 'The Beast' vs 'The Largest Athlete', but let's be honest, it's a Network Special and a chance to see Lesnar face someone he's never seen where they genuinely have the chance to pick anybody since they don't even have to build a legitimate programme between the two. Even Bo Dollas would have made more sense. I understand they're not going to give us Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton, or Brock Lesnar vs Sheamus, or Kevin Owens, or Cesaro etc, but there are a ton of guys that would have made for good, entertaining viewing, that could take 15+ Suplex's and a couple of F5's.

I must be in the minority but I'm actually looking forward to this, I've always enjoyed the Lesnar/Show chemistry.

I've never watched a Lesnar match in person, so he could be in there with anyone on the roster and I'd be happy. Besides I want to see him suplex Show around.

If he suplexes Big Show a couple times, it'll be cool. I'm not expecting too much because it's a house show.

Bo vs Lesnar ala Jericho vs Goldberg in WCW would be dope. Although this time it actually pays off

Here's an idea, Have Lesnar face Kevin Owens or some other NXT Guy for a change. Heck give Brock Lesnar a match with Sting
