In Ring psychology and storytelling. It's a forgotten art. Probably the most serious loss. Yeah, complain about no blood, boring sets, brand split... but at it's core, the loss of psychology (and storytelling), is actually damaging to the art form. (This is why I was so hyped on Bayley vs Sasha; probably best use of psychology all year.) Exactly. I felt the same way about the match. All the superficial stuff doesn't matter if the guys in the ring can't sell you on the story of their fight. So instead of getting emotionally invested in the match and the outcome, we just stare at it waiting for some kind of "spot" to happen.

Might be somewhat trivial, but the quality of hype videos seem to be lacking of late. Even if the build-up to the match has been lacklustre, often times a well made hype video pre-match can get the juices going. Prime example being Austin vs. The Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven.

Definitely the hardcore title. Although I don't think it will ever happen

I think they're lacking, but Raw's graphics recently seemed to have stepped up. It's like their introducing unique namecards for each superstar upon their entrance. Wyatt's one in particular is awesome.

Man, so many comments I agree with that are seemingly no brainer stuff. J12 nailed it right out of the gate though with the biggest issue in the midcard. To go beyond that though, just the idea that everyone has something going on and that wrestlers all have an identity because of it. Who am I, what motivates me, why am I fighting the guy across the ring? I should be able to answer that question about every single wrestler on Raw, and I can't.
I'm totally against bringing back the brand split. The roster isn't strong enough and having one World Champion makes the title seem far more important. That feeds back into the midcard stuff though because you have an opportunity to make those titles mean so much more. They've done that with the US Title, but not so much with the IC Title.
Making Raw 2 hours again would definitely help, in the storytelling department too, but that's not something that's going to change as long as people keep watching. It's free money for WWE who is going to tape 4 hours of product at whatever arena they're at every Monday night anyway.
I love the idea of bringing back psychology but wrestling everywhere lacks psychology. Outside of your older guys, a select few guys in other places like Bobby Roode and Adam Cole (BAYBAY!), you're not going to change the landscape of wrestling. Cena is an absolutely TERRIBLE athlete in terms of executing wrestling moves. He's sloppy, and clumsy and just isn't smooth at all, the anti Triple H if you will, BUT he gets how to tell the story. So like Hogan, his ability to connect with the audience, both in and out of the ring, allows him to have great matches, especially with other guys who have amazing psychology, i.e. CM Punk. Wrestling in WWE is really formulaic and wrestling everywhere else is really spot driven. You have to get a real student of the game type to come in and keep that style alive. Someone like Cody Rhodes is pretty damn good in that regard imo.
